Bollywood’s numero uno star Deepika Padukone celebrates her 30th birthday today and the actress has had yet another terrific year at the box office, even though there was a rare hiccup in the form of Tamasha.
However, even in Tamasha, her performance was liked and a select section of the audience still consider it to be one of the best films of 2015.

2. Nagada Sang Dhol: It’s arguably the best song that has been composed by maverick filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The energy, beats, choreography, colour, sets.. everything falls into place even as Deepika’s dance and expressions takes it to a different level altogether. We love this as much as Main Agar Kahoon. 3. Khuda Jaane: The superb chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone was first explored on-screen in Yash Raj Films’ ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’. KK takes this Vishal-Shekhar composition to new heights with his alluringly captivating voice. This is arguably one of the most romantic contemporary songs of this era.
4. Deewani Mastani (Bajirao Mastani): Song-wise, it isn’t Deepika’s best, but how good does she look in the song? Stunning. The grandeur of the sets and costumes worn the dancers are unbelievably good.
5. Balam Pichkari: One of the best holi songs that Bollywood has ever produced in a long time, the chemistry between Ranbir-Deepika along with Pritam’s composition has managed the rare feat of satisfying masses and classes simultaneously. Amitabh Bhattacharya excels with his creative unique lyrics. Once again, you can’t take your eyes off Deepika.

What amazes more than her boxoffice success is that she has evolved into a tremendous actress what with superb performances in BM,Tamasha,Piku,CE,Ramleela etc. Back in 2009,10,11 she used to suck at acting,her dialogue delivery was’nt great.
I think YJHD was the turning point of her career,She was really good as Scholar Naina and that character of her is still loved very much.After that she has only got better.

the songs mentioned yes I would say.. but when coming to Deewani Mastani.. it’s really a “wow” song the the song, lyrics, music, the playback singer, I still don’t know who’s voice was that maybe Shriyal Goshal, but she deserves best playback singer for this film, the costume, choreographi. Tonight I went and saw BM again, and my daughter was just amazed by everything and by every scene she was watching. Really a great film and she said while leaving the theatre: SLB couldn’t do any better than this work.
