Bollywood actor and Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan celebrates his 48th birthday today. The actor-director-producer-host has come a full round in Bollywood starting his acting career as a child star. He has made successful inroads into television too with his popular talk show Satyamev Jayate.
His first break in films came through Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), which was a big hit. The commercial success of the film and others that followed it made him the ‘Chocolate hero’ of Hindi Cinema.
His film ‘Lagaan’ created a sort of history with its unusual theme and stupendous success at the box office. Fanaa, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini, 3 Idiots, Talaash and Dhoom 3 (his latest hit) have broken many box office records and won him numerous awards. Dhoom 3 has the distinction of being the only Indian film to collect 500 crore collection worldwide (gross).
Besides his Bollywood successes, he has also been applauded for his reality show ‘Satyamev Jayate’, which is into its second season now. Dubbed as Mr Perfectionist, he has the Midas touch succeeding in whatever field he enters be it acting, directing, hosting or production.
With a string of recent successes and his film P.K., with Rajkumar Hirani all set to be released towards the year end, 2014 is shaping up to be yet another fabulous year for Aamir.

@babaji ki thullu ‘the day the earth stood still’ is similar but Raju Sirs adaptation will be better suited for hindi audiences but then again these online anti Aamir rumours are 99% of the time completely fabricated so one mustnt hold on to tight to preconceived ideas / misconceptions etc etc. wait and see
The year 1965 was indeed a great yr in the history of the planet. Aamir Perfectionist Khan and a roaring Dabanggisque child tentatively called Sher Khan were born and soon set upon conquering the world. Other insignificant events occured that yr but these were definitely the biggest events of the year. ;-)
