Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol bagged the top honour at the Golden Kela Awards 2016, as the film was declared as the worst film of 2016. The film, rated ‘4 stars’ by a certain website, went on to gross no less than Rs 380 crore worldwide. If only other ‘worst’ films could gross as much as this did.
Sooraj Pancholi won the Worst Actor award, while Sonam Kapoor bagged the Worst Actress trophy for her performance in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
The popular ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ title track, a song that went viral on the internet, was declared as the ‘Most annoying song’ of 2015.
Vikas Behl, who won the Filmfare award for Best director last year for ‘Queen’, was honoured with the ’Baawra Ho Gaya Hai Ke’ award for Shaandaar.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, another film that was rated ‘4 stars’ and went on to gross nearly 400 crore worldwide, was the biggest winner of the evening – sweeping the Worst Actress, Worst Director, Most annoying song and Bas Kijiye Bahut Ho Gaya trophy.

Even as an srk fan couldn’t agree more.I will never ever forget Rohit for making Dilwale.The movie was an extension of songs and unfunny scenes.It was as if Rohit had a dream the previous night and next day he converted it into a script.

the title track from prdp went viral because of its popularity. sonam kapoor is laughing at the award because she showed in neerja that she is a great actress. dilwale was not a great movie but not as bad to win this award. same goes for prdp which was just a old fashioned movie but not a bad one. both (dilwale and prdp) had some great moments. but shandaar was just a stupid movie without anything good

Dilwale may not be the finest of the movie, but it did entertain a section of the crowd.
The worst award, if at all, should be given to movies who claim to be “INTELLECTUALLY BRILLIANT AND PATH BREAKING” even before its release, for eg., the likes of “BOMBAY VELVET”.
A movie like Dilwale didn’t claim anything of that sort and though it may not have turned in to a good commercially success movie, but it did its job. Period.

Sonam Kapoor has deservedly received an award since she the untalented person and success of “Nirzha” not her merit. If Neerja Bhanot was played by any other actress, not to mention Kangan, then the movie would be even more successful.
Sonam is horrible in this movie, she irritates with the hysterical voice and behavior. She disgustingly plays. Believe!

In one side, there are talented heros like ranveer whose films are bagging the prestigious national award and in the other side there are the so called the khan whose films are bagging the worst films award. It is a shame.
