Here’s the first song from ‘Dilwale’ titled Gerua featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The song, which was launched at the iconic Maratha Mandir in Mumbai, has been composed by Pritam.
The song is a visual treat and has the legendary onscreen jodi of SRK and Kajol, trying to recreate the magic of ‘Suraj Hua Maddham’.

According to me GERUA is some how similar to SURAJ HUA MADDHAM But GERUA looking very pleasant for its visuals.

Where I come from, people hardly talk about Bollywood anymore (it’s all about the Hallyu wave now.. or TW/China/Japanese movies or dramas). While there are still people who likes watching Bollywood movies, they’re pretty much in the minority or perhaps… less vocal? Only a few people around me knows who Varun Dhawan, Deepika etc are..
But right now, everyone’s talking about Dilwale. The main reason? SRK-Kajol comeback! Bollywood may no longer have a huge following now (where I come from), but definitely have a huge SRK-Kajol fan following. LOL. Now everywhere I go, people are talking about the pair’s comeback. Everyone is excited! Can’t blame them, the jodi that made Bollywood a craze here is finally coming back to grace the screen.
Saw the trailer and was a bit disappointed. Expected more from the trailer… but Gerua was a delight. Mainly because of their chemistry. While me and my friends do have a few complaints about the song, but seeing them back onscreen manages to shut us all up. Hopefully the movie will be shown in the local cinemas (Bollywood movies are rarely screened here, but the jodi’s previous outings have all been released successfully. So, there’s still hope!).
Lastly, the movie needs to be good because it’s the pair’s comeback after a gap of 5 years. Let’s not ruin that comeback, okay Rohit? Also… Bollywood is back people!!
Whatever it be, PRDP will remain the 2nd highest grosser of the year and dilwale has no chance to get 2nd spot. now srk is not only struggling to give highest grosser of the year, but also the 2nd highest grosser of the year is becoming out of reach for many years now. his last highest grosser of the year was way back in 2007 OSO and his last 2nd highest grosser of the year, was rab ne banadi jodi way back in 2008. lets analyze some facts.

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are two people who can fire up any screen even when they aren’t trying too hard. They just have to stand next to each other or look into each other’s eyes and we are done! They are beyond magical. It is as if you are doing a great disservice to them by not ogling and gawking at them helplessly. You can’t…you just can’t take your eyes off them! They are unbelievably good with each other. Dilwale‘s song Gerua was thus awaited with bated breath. Last time they came together, it was My Name Is Khan in 2010. It’s been five years since we are swarmed by their chemistry and Gerua does full justice to it. If you think Suraj hua madham was the most romantic song of the couple, Gerua will easily change your mind. We bet you haven’t seen anything like this!
If there’re the beautiful locales of Iceland, there’re also the props used in the film from the wreckage of a plane to the backdrop of a waterfall. If there are beautiful costumes, there are awesome moves choreographed by Farah Khan. The costumes of the actors are just beyond beautiful. At one point when both of them drape black, they look ethereal. If that’s not enough, there’s Arijit Singh’s vocals which can turn any stone-hearted person into a romantic. He is effortless in the song as are the subjects of his verses. Pritam’s music has hardly disappointed us and we are glad that he continued it with this. You will be listening to this song on loop for many months now. The perfect love song…
But above all, it’s the amazing chemistry between SRK and Kajol which will leave you smitten. We dare you to pay attention to anything else except them. They are just beyond amazing! Both of them are also looking perfect and super fit. For a man who’s just hit 50, this man can seriously make men in that age scurry for cover. He makes 50 look so hot and we wish common men also get the hint here! As for Kajol, she can only be called a dream. Those sarees look so sexy on her that we bet many men are wishing their wives were as hot as her! We wish setting such unattainable standards can be declared a crime since in reality, we will hardly find SRK and Kajol, but isn’t that’s why we call cinema the make believe world?

Everything about Dilwale has peaked our interest to no bounds. Especially after watching this magical song Gerua that hit the web last night! “Omg! They look so beautiful!” Was exactly my reaction when I first watched this song featuring a ridiculously gorgeous Kajol opposite a hot AF Shah Rukh Khan! Their flawless chemistry is enough to make us believe that be it Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge or Dilwale, SRK and Kajol assure they continue to make us fall in love again and again. So I wasn’t surprised when I found these aww-worthy Twitter reactions on Gerua this morning! Fans cannot contain their excitement on watching/hearing this love song of the year sung by Arjith Singh. So much that Gerua has already crossed over 6 lakh views in less than 12 hours. Can you imagine?
