‘A Gentleman’ did the unthinkable at the box office on Friday. The film collected just 4 crore, which falls at the level of much smaller films like ‘Phillauri’ and ‘Begum Jaan’. Even disasters like ‘Rangoon’ and ‘Raabta’ opened better.
The collections are in the same range as ‘Ok Jaanu’ which finished with lifetime business of 23 crore. The reports of ‘A Gentleman’ is better, so the film should show decent growth over the weekend. But when the start is so low, even getting to a 20-crore weekend looks extremely difficult, unless the movie nearly doubles its business today and rises further on Sunday.
