Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, arguably the most popular Indian actor in the world, has completed 22 years in the industry. The journey that began with Deewana on June 25th 1992 has seen Khan deliver several box office blockbusters including his last film ‘Chennai Express’.
On completing 22 years in the industry, SRK tweeted “All notions, creations & experiences of decades will end on the day of truth. I tirelessly work to ignore the inevitable. Thanks for 22 years of O2”
“I have till date not seen Deewana. I have a notion that I don’t want to see my first or last creation. They are bookends, the story is between” he tweeted.

Shah Rukh Khan is now going to be honored by France in the Highest Distinction for his contribution to cinema. The actor is being conferred as the ‘Legion of France’, highest honour among Civilians and Military.
To honour the star as Officier de la Legion d’Honneur (Officer of the Legion of Honour), French Foreign minister Laurent Fabius is all set to fly down to India.
The France foreign minister will be first visiting Delhi to have a word with the Indian counterpart, Sushma Swaraj. Post this meet, he will fly down to Mumbai to give the French honour to Shah Rukh Khan.

Stardom is not about giving 5 blockbusters in a row. It is about consistency and doing various roles but still have faith to get award every year. Who else can be compared with king SRK in the world?. Salman Khan and aamir Khan never came close to SRK to compete with his stardom. You can’t be called a superstar by making south films which are already successfully tested!!!

Amitabh Bachchan is still remember not cos he was no.1 in his time but his most films are classics and still watched by younger generation. I grown up watching Amitabh’s film in TV. His films are classics not cos of Content but due to his acting and charm. Agneepath was a bad film but it became classic, Don wasn’t a big hit but it is one of the most loved AB film. There are many films like that. After Amitabh bachchan and perhaps Dilip Kumar, the only actor who acted in many classic film is SRK. Baazigar, Darr, DDLJ, KKHH, DTPH, Veer Zara, Swadesh, CDI, MHN, KHNH to name a few. Other superstars like Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra doesnt have much fan following among younger generation due to less classic films. Today’s superstars, Aamir khan and Salman has way less classic films compared to SRK. for eg: Raja Hindustani was a huge hit but it’s not much loved by younger generation like DDLJ or even Darr. However, Both has high recall value films like 3 idiots, MPK etc but much lesser compared to SRK. So probably 30 years down the line SRK would still have Fan following from younger generation but most probably Aamir and Salman will fade away after few years.

Simply put many more deserving present day actors have had worse starts in life n struggles within the industry to gain acceptance. However regardless of that I still think its nice that Sarkar came to Bollywood n make up the last part of the 3 Big Khans as the Teesra Lesser Known Khan…! Kudos for that and on a side note Deewana has become a painful film to watch over recent times and I agree with Sarkar I too cannot watch it bcoz it highlights the great loss to Bollywood /fans of not seeing Divya Bharti flourish n fulfil her potential.
