A Flying Jatt Box Office Prediction: IndicineFBO

‘A Flying Jatt’ releases in theatres tomorrow. It’ll be the first big test of Tiger Shroff’s career, after a very successful beginning with films like ‘Heropanti’ and ‘Baaghi’.

A section of the trade believes, Tiger has quickly established himself as a bankable star with the single screen audience in mass centres. With most young stars catering to the multiplex audience, the general belief is that Tiger has filled the void by doing films that the masses love.

However, unlike his previous two films, both the production standards as well as the promos of ‘A Flying Jatt’ have been dull. Will Tiger’s presence ensure a good opening or will the film struggle because of the underwhelming promos? That’s going to be the big question on Thursday.

Thursday is also a partial holiday for Krishna Janmashtami. In the last couple of years, ‘Welcome Back’ and ‘Singham Returns’ have benefited by around 15%.

Factors in favour of ‘A Flying Jatt’

• Partial holiday in parts of the country for Janmashtami
• Tiger Shroff’s presence, he looks quite convincing as the funny superhero.
• Remo D’Souza is a successful director – F.A.L.T.U recovered investment, ABCD was a Hit and ABCD 2 was bigger.
• The music hasn’t clicked in a big way, but a couple of songs have gained popularity leading up to release. Jacqueline presence will be a plus too.

Factors against ‘A Flying Jatt’

• Promos have been dull, we haven’t seen any well-shot action sequence. VFX substandard.
• Unless it’s a big film, a Thursday release is not always ideal. Friday is assumed to be the day of film release, so business does tend to get affected.
• The film will be single-screen dependent for an initial, there is hardly any interest amongst the multiplex audience to watch ‘A Flying Jatt’.

We are going with Rs 8.5 crore as the opening day prediction of ‘A Flying Jatt’.
