Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan says, even though 50 percent of his films have flopped at the box office, his failures are still close to his heart and he is happy to still be a star.
“It has been an amazing journey till now. It is fantastic time to be here. I have done around 70-80 films out of which 50 percent are flops, still I am star.. and those films are close to me” the actor said, while talking to the media about his journey in the film industry.

When asked about his favourite films, Khan said “My favourite film is Paheli (2005), Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000). The film that goes a little wrong that should be your favourite and you should be proud of these films.”
Shahrukh also credited all the filmmakers and actors from the industry for taking the industry forward.
“There are so many wonderful filmmakers and actors who are edgy and want to take risk, chances and take Indian cinema forward, the extent to which Indian cinema has shifted from just being a trend and fad internationally to becoming part and parcel” he said.

First time in history he has accepted the truth..kudos…All actor’s have high’s & low’s in their career. Thus he has his share to…
Other stars decrease their flop ratio whereas SRK being a modest person has actually increased it.That is the one and only reason why he is and will continue being the baadshah of bollywood!!!

I haven’t watched paheli. .my fav srk movies are veer zara,k3g,mnik,cdi. .i feel although, ddlg is a nice one,but it is too much overrated.haven’t watched KHNH yet:(

He is just being humble in saying that 50% of his movies have flopped.
There many great actors in the industry who have more than 70% flops like naseeruddin shah, amitabh, dilip kumar, irfan khan.
Not even amitabh or salman can say this because they don’t want to weaken their stardom and position in the industry. This is the only man who considers that most of his movies have failed.
Where are those srk fans who called Akshay, Aamir & Salman as flop actors. Srk himself acknowledging his flops. Now this proves two things according to self proclaimed srkians either srk is lying or srk fans are proving him to be a liar !!!!!! @sss : Have you disappeared after this post???

Agreed with Srk, i also liked Paheli and Swades which both were his last flops. But this is cheating Srk because your fans thinking that you had given 99% success films while Other like Salman given 8% hit,Akshay given 15% success,Aamir given 3% and Hr only with his father i.e.20%, this is joke and it is not justify by you because you are saying that you did 70-80 films while indicine don’t agree for same as you did only 53 movie and 35 films were lead,rest are special appearinces. No doubt you are one of great icon of Indian cinema and i salute your achievement. Best of luck for your films.
@jai yes and he is only actor in India who self rated himself king,the fact is those 4 underpeformed movies before ce made him realise to come down on earth,because before Ghajini happened he thought himself the best and biggest so now atleast he learn the facts and finally agree with truth and others contribution in film industry.So dholu beta just chill.

To all those claiming Shahrukh has become humble due to recent mere hits (not flops by any means), SRK said the same damn thing, that his success ratio is about 40% during Billu promotions. Just because you don’t see every interview of him, doesn’t mean he hasn’t been realistic about his success.
@laila first of all you are one who said you only visit articles about Srk,than how would you know what other actor said or not so don’t be try to smarter,actors like Aamir,salman etc said most no of times about their failure and no of failure earlier,Salman in many shows and interview has said that he is extremely lucky that despite being not a great actor people loves him, and also said he had given no of flops earlier before dabangg and in 90’s too. So srk not said anything wrong you can argue when he had success ratio closer to 75% or more as many sites given Srk had success about 50-55% or max 60%,so srk also given rough idea of his success and he also said he did 70-80 films while he actually did 60 movies max..
I love srk nd love all of his movies. I started watching bollywood movies bcz of srk.

This man has the guts to accept failures even though he has maximum hits from last 20 years.. I think only hrithik has the chance to go past his most number of hits as its only hr who will survive here atleast for next 10 years… @nipun, dude you must watch khnh, if you are not his fan then also you would love him.. Infact it was only after khnh when i rated srk over aamir in terms of acting.. Watch it dude..
