FAN is set to be one of the shortest Shah Rukh Khan films, as the runtime of the Maneesh Sharma directed film will be similar to the superstar’s highest grosser Chennai Express.
The runtime of FAN is 142 minutes. Shah Rukh’s last release Dilwale was about 13 minutes longer.
From a box office point-of-view, shorter films have an advantage as multiplexes can screen more shows, which could result in higher opening day and weekend collections.

For the first time in his career, Shah Rukh Khan will be playing a Sikh character and wearing a turban in Imtiaz Ali’s Untitled Next, A Comedy Drama Film.

fan will surely make 250crs haters.bark as much as u can ok.it will record the highest non holiday grossers no matter how bad film it is.lultan and jungle not dangal r same story of a wrestler and nothing new.chotu tingu will find it hard to collect this christmas and after his failure he will become mad ghajini and forget acting.time over for chotu tingu after jungle flop and his so called fans will start supporting suniel shetty after that.lultan will collect close to 90crs bcoz of the clash with a quality film like raees which will collect 245crs bcoz of the clash otherwise raees would hv been the first film to cross 350crs mark.after sultan failure lallu will bcome mad and bcome terenaam and career over in bollywood
142 minutes runtime is pretty good considering the genre of FAN.
Also, I am sure these 142 minutes will be compact and YRF have not shorten the length just to increase the number of shows.
As we have seen in past, how few producers made some 120, 132 and 135 minutes of garbage just to get more number of shows and then subsequently bigger collections.

Well well well.. SRK has done his part.. He has given the best performance of his career in FAN(can judge from the trailer) and has assured a record breaking opening for the film.. Now everything depends on MANEESH SHARMA’S direction.. He has done well as the movie has been restricted to 142 mins which is superb but as you can see CE had the same runtime with typical bollywood masala which is not the case with FAN.. It doesn’t have those bollywood numbers, it doesn’t have comedy, romance etc.. All there in the movie you can only find ACTING ACTING AND ACTING….
I repeat the pace of the movie has really the most important role to play followed by thrills and action… Hope Maneesh does well and gives us a treat… Expectations are high and the sky is the limit… Only thing required is something unexpected just like the trailer… Surprise us SRK…

Will be a different experience to watch a movie without any songs. For such a movie to work, it needs to have a tight script and properly edited. Few months back the following news was in media:
“Film editor Namrata Rao, who has worked on films like Kahaani and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, is also the part of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Fan. She says the superstar wants his film to be “tightly edited.” Rao, who is now busy with promotions of YRF’s Titli : “I have edited ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ as well. Shah Rukh still makes fun of me by saying, ‘You have not chopped anything from Jab Tak Hai Jaan but do edit ‘Fan’ nicely. Make it very tight’.”
So hoping that Namrata Raos performance in FAN proves to be similar to that of Kahaani rather than that of Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
