My FAN Experience :

FAN was that movie, which I was desperately waiting for since a long time. This was my comment on one of the articles of indicine :

Though most of the SRK fans voted for Raees, I preferred FAN over Raees. I don’t know why, but right from it’s (FAN) announcement, I found myself attached to it more than any other upcoming movie of SRK.
So let me conclude if FAN lived upto my expectations or not.
Occupancy : The show, which I attended was an early evening show (07:15 pm) and it was packed till full capacity. Yes, you read it right. Not even a single seat was vacant. But Boss, let me remind you all, we have underestimated “The jungle book” , which is going to be an ultimate under dog of 2016. I saw huge gathering outside Jungle book screens. So Jungle book is going to affect FAN in coming days for sure.
Story : No need to narrate it again. Indicine has already narrated it nicely.
Acting : will that be an exaggeration if we call SRK God of acting? I don’t think so. FAN is a perfect example that how a megastar can run the entire movie on his own soldiers. There is absolutely no contribution from any of the supporting artists and right from the beginning, you will be amused with the acting persona of SRK. He amazes you as Aryan Khanna, at the same time, he gives you an “Aww” kind of expression with Gaurav Chandana.
Music : There is only one song in FAN, that too was missing from the movie. Background score is “Satisfactory” , not excellent.
Direction : Few idiots are criticizing Manish Sharma, but he deserves an applaud for this brave attempt. From a rom-com to a compact thriller, Manish has transformed himself easily and efficiently.
My best FAN moments :
-The very first scene, where SRK takes a round jump. The whole audiences burst into applaud.
-The funny fight between Gaurav and three of the goons outside Gaurav’s café. They have picturised it so nicely that it looks real and at the same time, funny too.
-When Gaurav shouts for Aryan from the crowd. Just notice each and every expression of Gaurav in those 30-40 seconds. I doubt if any other actor has the capability to perform that particular moment with same intensity .
-When Arayn leaves Gaurva devastated and walks away from the lock up. Gaurav starts sobbing and crying afterwards. Only SRK can put such strong emotion in that scene.
-First half ends with a note “Jab Jab Aryan Khanna ka naam liya jayega, Gaurav Chandana ka naam bhi liya jayega”. Lights turn on (indicating the intermission) and a random girl sitting behind me tells her friend ,”Achhi hai yaar”.
That one statement gave me such a joy that I can’t express in words. It’s always a pleasure to listen such appreciation directly from the audience instead of relying on critics or anyone else for that matter.
-Though for most of the people, second half is slow, but for me , it’s the second half , which stole the show. All the chasing scenes, Gaurav putting his efforts to destroy Arayn’s name and prestige etc makes you that much engross, that you will think twice before taking your eyes away form the screen.
-And then comes the wonderful climax which gave tears to many eyes. Not an exaggeration, I saw many girls sobbing at the end.
Conclusion : FAN is a must watch for all. Whether you are an SRK Fan or not, just head towards theatres and give it a watch. I guarantee, you won’t be disappointed.
At the same time, I would wish to add that FAN is not the best SRK movie (as many are claiming). It has minor flaws but overall it’s a great watch.
Yes, if you are talking about SRK’s performance, then I must say, it will make it’s place in “top 3 all time best performances of SRK”.
Until some extra ordinary performance comes into the second half of 2016, please keep all the awards (in best actor category) reserved for SRK.

SRKs performance as gaurav is a big slap on the face of those who says he is a overrated actor..i know him very well as an actor but when i watched i also shocked by seeing his acting, for me its best performarnce of srk so far..
Watched the movie here in london today.. honestly who the hell all this critics are and saying this is srk best performance.. movie is not that great at all.. why spreading wrong things…first of all gaurav was middle class guy whos flying to london, some next country.. com on people get some knowledge..

Back to the topic: My favourite reviewer has given it 2.5/5 (Koimoi) and it says that there is no story and direction and editing in second half…First half seems too slow and second half is logicless…And since everyone commented that 2nd half is bad, i laughed when the guy in white qurta said second half is better…
It is very clear that people don’t want to talk badly about a movie on camera…It might be good but mostly the positive thing seems to be SRK’s acting only but I don’t think just the acting of 1 person deserves 4 stars!!! And indicine, you said editing is good but second half didn’t need some scenes…How is it possible to say such a thing.,,?? You are contradicting your own statement!!! Just because it is an SRK movie, you are scared to rate in honestly..Don’t worry, we know from your past reviews well enough..
Fan will easly beat lallu highest non holiday jai ho & Fan less Aamir Talash with huge margin…

Now I Can’t hold my excitement till tomorrow. Enjoying one more sleepless night reading articles related to fan and King Khan.
