Family is with me, I am still strong: Sanjay Dutt

Sentenced to 5 years in prison, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt said he still believes in the Indian judiciary and is looking at legal options after the Supreme Court upheld his conviction for illegal arms possession during the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai.

Reacting to the news, Dutt told CNNIBN “Will see the copy and now I am looking after legal options. I still believe in judiciary, my family is with me and I am still strong.”

Dutt’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said he respects the order of the Supreme Court and he is happy that the actor’s sentence has been reduced from 6 to 5 years “Sanjay Dutt told me I have accepted the judgement as it is. He will abide by the apex court’s order of undergoing the sentence of 3 and a half years years in letter and spirit. It’s not a long period.  We have prepared him from the very beginning. He is a strong man and will fight for himself”
