Veteran writer Salim Khan has apologised on behalf of his son Salman Khan, for the controversial ‘raped woman’ remark.
In a series of tweets, Salim said:
“Undoubtedly what Salman said is wrong, the simili, example and the context. The intention was not wrong”
“Nevertheless I apologise on behalf of his family his fans & his friends. Forgiveness is to pardon the unpardonable or it is no virtue at all”
“To err is human to forgive divine. Today on International yoga day lets not run our shops on this mistake.” he said.
During a promotional campaign of Sultan, Salman, while talking about the hard-work that was involved in shooting the film, had said ”Those 6 and a half 7 hours, either I’m picking up and throwing or he’s picking me up and throwing. So it’s like the most difficult thing. When I used to walk out of that ring, it used to actually feel like a raped woman walking out….”
He was quick to add “I don’t think I should have said that..” but the damage was already done and Salman was slammed for his remarks on social networking websites like Twitter and Facebook.
Salim sir is right. Forgiveness is divine. That is why I even forgive and forget the king of 3.7 billion fans for his many gravely treacherous acts towards his friends and nation…..

Omg! such an exaggeration, over reaction, such n importance given for what may or not has been said intentionally. Well wr donot have thermometer to judge if salman’s intention was wrong or right. What we knew is he quickly realized he should not have said that. Well even after that if media is exploiting this than we belong to era of insensitive media and as a person who too much overreacts to it we are feeding them irresponsibily. Many of the movies in the list have won National Award. Not to mention record breaking awards at filmfare. If there were any overacting in them they wouldn’t be so successful internationally.
No wonder SRK is the most awarded actor. Not only awarded in his country but has won international honour from countries like France, Malaysia, Morocco etc. Special Honour from Yale University, Edinburgh University etc. Abe Bhaitard it’s a shame that SRK is compared with classless uneducated Lallu.
