Actor Emraan Hashmi will be playing the role of controversial former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin in one of the many biopics that are scheduled to release this year.
In a new picture that’s out, Emraan seems to be playing Azhar during his younger days.
Directed by Tony D’Souza, Azhar stars Emraan, Prachi Desai, Nargis Fakhri, Huma Qureshi and Gautam Gulati. The Balaji Motion Pictures’ produced film is scheduled to release in theatres on 13 May 2016.

@Thug I dont want to offend you but truth is Emraan doesn’t depend on his father or dhoom brand for a blockbuster. He depends on his own hard work.
Hrithik looked funny as Akbar, it looked like a modern model had time travelled to Mughal period.
Hrithik is a good actor, but he is fit only in serious or action roles, not in comedy or other stuff.
Emraan is more versatile that Hrithik, and he has done all kinds of roles from serious to action to comedy.
In all honesty Hrithik has better body and better dancer than Emraan, but Emraan is a better and versatile actor than Hrithik.
@Jeet Akbar was not someone who was there before our eyes to find out how he was. We only had theories about him yeah? But Azhar is someone we have seen a lot through TV and other medias. So obviously the looks will be more scrutinized than say for a historical character. But having said that I appreciate the effort taken by Emraan Hashmi and I hope the film will be good :)
This movie had potential to be a decent grosser but unfortunately it will earn usual 30-40 crore because of emraan hashmi. Flop king is back with a bang

@ jeet dhoni is 5′ 9″ where as sushant is 5’10”. So in which angle u find dhoni is shorter and sushant as taller. They are almost same height. But if u see the height difference between emraan and azhar then there is huge difference of 4″. Emraan height is 5′ 6″ and azhar is 5’10”.

@Jeet bro Akbar Was 7 ft tall.. And got fat due to his illness.. Still had a Big Body.. Hrithik and Akbar had A difference of 1 ft in their Heights.. Anyways it doesn’t matter how much similarity you have with the Subject(person whose biopic is being made) the only thing that matters is how well you live that character.. And my dear friends.. Emran will rock this time.. He is underated and with this movie he has a chance to showcase his best acting skills. Kudos to the first. N plzz tingu fans don’t talk about height..
