Emraan Hashmi in Raaz 4?

Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi is likely to play the lead in the 4th Raaz film, tentatively titled ‘Raaz Reboot’.

Sources say, the film will go on floors in Europe in December this year. The film will also be shot across the United States of America and Mumbai.

Mumbai Mirror quoted Mahesh Bhatt as saying “Yes, ‘Raaz Reboot’ will roll in Europe towards the year end. Vikram Bhatt is currently in South Africa filming ‘Love Games’ but the screenplay is locked. It’s a horror-cum-love story, which needs snow. Snow has a certain texture which will take it into a different spatial world which is different from any of the earlier films”

The first Raaz film released way back in 2002 and featured Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea in the lead. With horror and chartbuster music, the film was a massive hit at the box office. Vishesh Films’ followed it up with ‘Raaz: The Mystery Continues’ featuring Adhyayan Suman, Emraan Hashmi (his first Raaz film) and Kangana Ranaut. The film did not do as well as expected at the box office.

For the third Raaz film, Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta were signed. Emraan played the lead. Raaz 3 went on to be a huge blockbuster at the box office and one of the biggest hits of Emraan’s career..

While Vikram Bhatt has directed the first and third Raaz film, the second film in the series was directed by Mohit Suri.

There are also reports that the tentative release date of ‘Raaz 4’ is June 1 2016.
