Drishyam continued its steady run at the box office in its second weekend, but competition from other films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Baahubali, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and the upcoming ‘Brothers’ has made a huge impact on the business of the Ajay Devgn starrer.
There are way too many choices for the audience in the form of good films, both at single-screens as well at the multiplexes. At smaller centres, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is holding steady and at high-end multiplexes ‘Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation’ has affected business.
Next week, a big film like ‘Brothers’ will further reduce the shows of Drishyam.
The second weekend business is heading towards a total of around Rs 10-11 crore, which will take the lifetime total to around 56-57 crore. The film is heading towards lifetime business in the range of 70 crore, which will make it an average grosser at the box office.

The film has achieved what it had set to.The biggest victory for the movie lies in the fact that it has been appreciated and loved by the audiences.Also 70 crores isn’t a bad figure for a movie belonging to a genre which the audiences aren’t much familiar with.

I had earlier watched only 20 mins of HIMMATWALA. But today i watched the rest parts of it. . Thank god! I didn’t die after watching it. the entry of tiger in d last fighting scene was cancerous to brain..

Acting & box office wise ajay is better than akki…. Akki would have been better if he had avoided films like joker, tmk, shaukeens and housefull 2…. At least both of them have guts to release their films on non-holiday so respect for both of them…
I still believe the movie will collect 80-90 cr and it will be a hit.
Box office doesn’t matter in this case…. Drishyam has touched millions hearts with powerful performance by Ajay Devgn and dat is what matters at the end of the day.
I watched it yestarday. What a movie.. Truly amazing. Thats why ajay has won 2 national awards. No actor other than ajay can give justice to this masterpiece. But sad to say why indian people avoide such a terrific movies. Deserves atleast hit statut .. Hope so.

drishyam done average business its okay because drishyam is not a film that do 100cr business. its got critical acclaim thats it. and it remember as one of the best ajay ‘s film.i am sure its get high trp on tv.but ajay’ next film like badsaho, shivaya, golmal4, sos2, films each with anes bazmi and remo desouza are huge commercial films.mark my words all are going to be huge hit.ajay may not be a superstar like khans, hritik, akki but you can’t ignore him.thats why he is lasting in bollywood for last 24 years

Who ever is yr favourite actor I know it can’t be aamir or Salman cz they won’t pass such remarks. All I wil say is call him 70 crores but remember he his one of d Pioneer of d 100 crores club. He made 2 100 crores movies into d club before any of yr remaining optional actors. He has more 100 crores than any of yr remaining optional actors. So sorry that name dosent suit him (70crores). Sad to see the bitter truth of indian box office. . quality films like baby, drishyam, talaash, special 26, haider nd many more always suffer this fate. . the way its going sooner or later we will even starve to have single of them since indian directors and producers will go towrds masala nd slapsticks other then sensible ones
