Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam has shown excellent escalation in business on Day 2 at the box office. Even though the opening day collections of the film were on the lower side, growth of around 35% on Saturday gives ‘Drishyam’ a good chance of going on to be a successful film at the box office.
In comparison, Tanu Weds Manu Returns picked up by 49% on Saturday and Piku showed 64% growth. ‘Drishyam’ is lower, but that is only because of the strong run of ’Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.
At most multiplexes, ‘Drishyam’ is running on fewer shows at multiplexes as compared to films like ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ and ‘Baby’.

In Bollywood there are only two actors/superstars who deserve the “Great” title are Amir and Hrithik. No other actor comes miles close to them..ajay and Akshay are good. But others don’t even know how to act
I can understand fan-wars between Aamir and SRK, or Ajay and Akshay, but Aamir vs Hrithik and Ajay vs Hrithik is sad. I personally like all the three actors, so I can’t take sides.
It’s also sad that Ajay’s collab with Rohit shetty has reduced him to a commercial star. Rohit may be a box office giant but he can never give us the Ajay we loved. The venomous one in Khakee, the goofy one in Ishq, the patriot in Bhagat Singh, the intense one in Omkara. None. He gives us only 1 guy. A caricature of a Hulk who breaks bones of a creepy, dumb villain. Yes, drishyam will never reach the commercial success of Singham Returns but who cares? If box office really matters, then Ra one is better Swades and Dhoom 3 is better than Lagaan.
Also it’s equally sad that Hrithik and Aamir fans are bashing each other. 2 versatile actors who know how to create magic on screen need no “academic” distinction to prove their worth. They are smart, intelligent and wise men in the industry who have a terrific script sense. It’s pity that their fans can’t appreciate each other’s worth and instead spend time bashing each other. Folks let’s end this stupid debate. It’s really not worth it!
