After all the accolades she received for her performance in Cocktail, model-turned-actress Diana Penty has been missing from action. She was one of the actresses in contention to play the lead in Salman Khan’s ‘Mental’, a role that eventually went to Daisy Shah.
In an interview to Filmfare, Diana says, that the low-profile she maintained post the release of Cocktail wasn’t intentional.
“I took it easy for a bit after the film released. Since it was my first movie, I was on it for a while, a year-and-a-half almost. Because I don’t come from an acting background, I went through rigorous training for the film. So it was hectic. I didn’t do anything else during that period. I needed a holiday. So I took one.”
When asked about her recent statement of not wearing a bikini or getting intimate on-screen, Daina says “I don’t think I’ll ever wear a bikini or get intimate on screen. Even as a model, I didn’t do what I didn’t want to do. I’m generally more conservative and reserved as a person. I wouldn’t be comfortable doing any of that stuff”
Those waiting to see Diana Penty in a bikini, unfortunately, won’t get to see her in one! But fans of the actress will be delighted to know, that she is likely to sign her next very soon. Stay tuned to Indicine for the announcement!
Never believe celebrities. They often change their words just for money, money and only money. Examples: Sonam Kapoor had earlier said “NO” to bikini, but very soon she is going to wear a bikini in her movie. Priyanka refused to do an item number but now she is doing babli badmaash by giving hard to digest reasons, SRK once said he doesnt talk about money and 100cr club, but at a press meet he said “ask me questions about heroines in my films and the 100cr club.” etc.

I’m waiting for her next. I wish Diana was there instead of Daisy Shah in Mental. Daisy doesn’t look good even. But Diana is really cute. I really don’t know what the makers thought when they considered Daisy. Poor Diana.
