Dil Dhadakne Do has crossed the 70 crore mark on its 13th day at the box office, but the drop in Week 2 has ensured that the film will finish well below the collections of ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, which released nearly 4 years ago in July 2011.
Even though the film has performed fairly well in the overseas markets, the business of the film in India has been below-the-mark. ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ had to collect more than 95-100 crore to emerge a clean hit, but the lifetime collections of the film is likely to settle at around the 78 crore mark.
With no major Hindi multiplex film releasing last week, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ was expected to hold on to better collections in Week 2, but the film has fallen by more than 60%.

Because of aamir’s voice people are going to watch DDD. Otherwise it would’ve disaster.
Not surprised. Not much mass appeal, no big star and average WOM. Considering the budget and how much media, fans and the actors involved were hyping it, it’s been average.

Zoyas last film Jadoo Naa Milega Dobara was a two time watch coz immature kindergarteners were still hopeful that seeing the crap a second time might result in them catching a glimpse of Jadoo but sadly no luck… That film was superbly titled thus attracting Jaadopurians to cinema whereas this zoya film apealed to piggy chops fans n the floppistan fanbase which at current numbers is a single digit figure…!
Too much overacting in this film was not the problem but it was just the awful acting of ranveer that ruined it…
Reema needs to direct again n fat zoya needs to take a backseat role
DDD is a hit movie n its budget isnt like Bombay velvet it has already earned its cost n its worldwide boxoffice collection is over 105 crores till now n it shall continue to do great business in the coming days.

Probably the wrong star cast. Ranvir Singh’s fans want to see him in raunchy roles, just like Emran Hashmi fans want to see him in erotic movies.
Nobody in the film was a major star. Zoya did a good job in my opinion. Looking forward to her next.
