Aamir Khan’s keenly-awaited action-thriller Dhoom 3 will release in Dolby Atmos, a technology that can significantly enhance the cinematic experience for viewers.
Yash Raj Films, the producers of Dhoom 3 along with Dolby Laboratories jointly made the announcement on Thursday.
“Great audio has been one of the key attributes of the ‘Dhoom’ franchise, and this technology helps make the overall experience more realistic for our audiences connecting them with the thrill, excitement and the great music of the movie,” Aashish Singh of YRF said in a statement.
“We believe that with Dolby Atmos, we are ushering in a newer, better and bigger experience for the movie-going audiences that will truly envelop them into the grandeur of Hindi movies, elevating the complete cinematic experience while watching Dhoom 3” he added.
Dolby Atmos allows moviemakers a new level of creative control and ensures that audiences experience full impact of the sound mix.
Starring Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, the year’s most-awaited action film releases in theatres on December 20th 2013.

No doubts about it and if it fails to reach that 300 cr milestone then I will personally buy ‘remote control’ some new longer lasting energizer batteries because nowadays the bichaaras comments are less and less frequently visible and even shorter 1 liners…! :-P

The only reason D3 will flop is Aamir’s role…if he is not excited like hrithik..then mark my words – this year will end with Doom for Aamir !!!!!. This is what happened to Besharam – Boxofice India even claimed that besharam will beat CE records…this is height of stupidity. Same goes for D3 and K3…both will be flops and can never come close to even Ek tha tiger records.

the same scene of 2008’s ghajni and 2009’s 3i comes when ghajni comes with 100cr club ,latter 3i comes with a approx double collection of ghajni,
this year dhoom comes with 300 cr ,next year pk will make 500cr, kyuki ab dhoom machane aa gaya h god of acting
Even if Dhoom 3 breaks the record of Chennai Express it won’t be just because of Aamir Khan, it would be because of the blockbuster franchise. If Aamir wants to break CE records, then he should do it fairly and come up with a new story like SRK did with CE, then only it would count. There are a few rules
1. Release with a lot of competition from other films. Chennai Express only had 6 open days with big release every week later on. OUATIMD, Madras Cafe, Satyagraha, Zanjeer, Grand Masti, Phata Poster Nikla Hero. 6 big releases in 6 weeks unlike 3 Idiots 7 open weeks. Dhoom 3 would get 3 open weeks. Had CE been as lucky as Dhoom 3 then it would easily made 280 -300 crores
2. Come up with a new story, like SRK did with CE, it would be unfair to compare Dhoom 3 with CE, Dhoom is the biggest franchise in Bollywood, Dhoom 3 comes up with massive expectations due to the all time blockbuster success of Dhoom 2. People would go to watch the movie because they love the franchise, not because of Aamir alone. If SRK would have got Dhoom 3 then he would easily make 550 crores worldwide, but CE didn’t come with such expectations. CE was not a part of blockbuster franchise, it had big expectations only because of Shah Rukh khan, Deepika Padukone & Rohit Shetty. Whereas Dhoom would get unfair advantage due to Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Yash Raj Films, Blockbuster Franchise, Advanced Technology, 3 open weeks, bigger release, Grand Success of Dhoom 2, Massive Budget, Long Awaited film, Book movie tickets months in advance with hiked ticket prices
Once in a blue moon release of Aamir Khan because it’s only his 2nd film in 4 years & 8th film in 12 long years so Aamir fans would obviously watch it multiple times, even if they don’t like it because who wants to wait so long to watch their fave hero’s film. The reason why Akshay doesn’t hold as much expectations because anyways he would release 3-5 films in a year so even if you don’t watch this film, you can anyway watch the next one, which would release soon. For Akshay you would have to wait a few months but for Aamir you would have to wait for eternity.
There is no guarantee that it would make 150 crores, because if the response is just like Ra One then there’s no way he can break CE record, for both Dhoom & Krrish, the Biggest Bollywood Franchises.
