It’s here! The official logo of Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3, the third film in Bollywood’s most successful franchise ‘Dhoom’.
Produced by Aditya Chopra, Dhoom 3 is written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (director of Tashan), who had also written Dhoom and Dhoom 2.
Aamir Khan, plays the anti-hero, previously played by John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan in the previous two films. Katrina Kaif is the female lead, while both Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue in their now iconic roles of Jai Dixit (cop) and Ali (street smart thief).
The film will release in Christmas 2013.

@velocity true bro…i like Hrithik his performance in Lakshya was EPIC (deserved a national award) …he is a classy actor…Aamir is Aamir words cant describe this little maestro….Salman though is not the classiest actor but in terms of popularity he is what Rajnikanth is to South….all others are followers
@velocity. No yaar i am not underestimating hrithik but i feel you are just over-estimating him and a bit over confident about him. Yes, hrithik is a superstar, make no mistake about it but aamir is a bigger superstar than hrithik. also agree with you that in ‘commercial moviedom’ hrithik has a good success but aamir even in non-commercial field has better success and i think you understand what i mean. But i just want to add that the only actor who can give aamir a run for his money for acting is hrithik (ajay d as well), as both are great method actors. I still feel hrithik is the biggest underachieving but highly talented performer in bollywood, but we also should not forget that his biggest bbs other than dhoom 3 were his dad’s ‘spoon feeding’. Also i would like to see hrithik in a out and out comedy entertainer to assess his comic timing and to see if he is really better than aamir and ajay d in every department other than dancing. Both Dhoom 3 & krrish 3 will be bbs but i will predict dhoom 3 to be a bigger bb than k3.

If you dont like it then just dont watch them but as long as those who like them want to watch it he will be making remakes and i dont see any problem in that. If scripts like dabaang or ett come, then he will take it, but why to risk your stardom with a crap script if it cant give you financial success nor fan’s admiration. And agneepath was hrithik’s last major success after dhoom 2 and it was a remake, wasnt it? South remake or north remake, remake is a remake and as long as remakes are successful no one will have any problem and those who dont like it shouldnt watch them, simple.

@nvs, znmd,jodhaa akbar,kkkg,agneepath were nt of his home production , n dese films were hits or blockbusters !! hrithik is nt a spoon fed superstar as he has proven his worth tym n again, bst actor award fr 4 years, jodhaa akbar n znmd r nt commercial movies ! n agneepath wasn’t a copy of old agneepath, it was a tribute to it ! evn hrithik had mentioned earlier he wont evr act in a direct remake coz dere’s no reason to mek a movie sem to sem again ! evn knight and day is also a new script wid jst d idea being sem ! i wud lyk salman if he tries different genres too , i wud appreciate it ! n yeah my gud wishes r wid both krrish 3 n dhoom 3 , let both films mek earth shattering collections n tek indian cinema to new level ! kick vl b blockbuster too , i hope dey mek it a bit new n interesting n nt fully copy

@velocity, so basically it is okay for you to say Salman does southern remakes because he finds it easy to do so but when Hrithik does a remake then it is not a remake because it is not a scene for scene replica but readjusted and a tribute??? Dude I am all for defending my icon to the hill but sometimes you need to take off the rose tainted specs and see things for what they are. Salmans remakes are not scene for scene similar because for one Hindi speaking audiences have different sensibilities to southern audiences. Anyway the fact is that Salman’s Bodyguard is the biggest grossing remake ever ahead of Ajays Singham, Salmans own Ready and even Hrithiks Agneepath.
Back to the article- Dhoom 3 will open HUGE but to beat Raju Hirani’s masterpiece ‘3 idiots’ then it needs a really good script to attract the required repeat audience in weeks 2 and 3. We saw Ek Tha Tiger fall short because the script was not that great so Victor Acharya needs to come up with something out and out original. Aamir will help him do that because he is Indias Mr Perfectionist.
Nothing special. But the overhype shows how desperate Aamir is for BO returns after recent success of Salman and his own DG, Talaash just about recovering their investments. The same Aamir fans who said in 2006 that they were proud that Aamir did ‘quality’ RDB instead of ‘mindless’ Dhoom are now salivating over Dhoom 3! Talk of hypocrisy! Where is their claim of quality cinema now?
Salman’s ONE MAN SHOW ETT did 199.3 crore. So this multistarrer film and established franchise Dhoom 3 will surely do 200 cr since the brand Dhoom is already established. A free, easy, readymade success for Mr. Aamir Khan!
@Deepu aamir has stepped in so its a quality brand now…Dhoom 3 will ooze quality and nah it wont do 200 crores it will do 300 crores mark my word. Aamir has PEEKAY as well so lots of quality coming from India’s greatest actor !
