Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 has collected Rs 8.11 crore ($1.35 million) in its first weekend at the China Box Office. The film entered the Chinese Box Office at No 9 and even managed to beat Chinese release No Zuo No Die.

Dhoom 3 was viewed by 267,000 people over the weekend. The weekend collections of the film is the highest ever, behind 3 Idiots which collected around $1.15 million in 3 days and finished with lifetime business of $3 million in January 2012.

The response has been good, but it remains to be seen if Dhoom 3 can go on to be the highest Hindi grosser in China.

Dhoom 3 released in China on July 25, the same day that Salman Khan’s Kick released in India.

With weekend admissions at 267,000 DHOOM:3 takes a flying start and is on target to become the biggest Indian film in China.
