South Indian star and the voice of ‘Kolaveri Di” – Dhanush will make his Debut in Bollywood with a film titled Raanjhnaa. Aanand L.Rai of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ fame will direct the movie.
Aanand spotted the actor much before his song Kolaveri Di became famous. His ordinary and honest look in the Tamil film ’Aadukalam’ impressed the director a lot. As this was the demand of the character in Raanjhnaa, Dhanush became the choice for the role.
Dhanush, who is the son-in-law of superstar Rajnikanth, says “It’s a big deal to get a launch like this at the beginning of my career here. Aanand’s script is different from regular cinema. It’s one of those made-to-make-a-difference kind of film.”
If sources are to be believed, the actor who is not well-versed in Hindi has appointed a tutor. Language, perhaps had been a barrier for the actor to step into B Town so far.
He is currently working on his upcoming release ‘3’ which will hit the theaters on February 3rd 2012.
Regarding the storyline of Raanjhnaa, it is an intense love story. The feel of the movie will be quite similar to ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, and its characters will take you to Delhi, Punjab and Chennai.
