Deepika Padukone chooses Ranbir this time! After their breakup last year and a tail of controversies following it, Dippy has signed a film with Karan Johar – Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani opposite ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
Sources say that the actress was also offered Race 2 directed by Abbas-Mustan. Unfortunately, the dates clashed with Karan’s film and Deepika stepped out as both film would be shot overseas during the same period – January to June 2012. The other stars of Race 2 – Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha – have already allotted their dates and will have to pay a price for Deepika’s convenience.
The chemistry between Ranbir and Deepika in their previous movie Bachna Ae Haseeno was not very convincing. Deepika’s choice to work for Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani instead of Race 2 would see the two ex-lovers share screen space once again. Hope to see, Wake Up Sid director Ayan Mukerji create some magic between the two.
Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani will release late next year.
