Dara Singh undergoes dialysis, still very critical

Wrestler and veteran actor Dara Singh who was admitted to hospital on Saturday with low pulse, low BP and cardiac problem which later led to kidney malfunction has shown no improvement and is still ‘very critical’ said the doctors who are treating him. He has been in ICU on life support system and is undergoing dialysis.

“He is still very critical. Very much with us,” said Ram Narain, COO, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

Dara Singh was a world-famous wrestler and  has won the title of ‘Rustam-e-Hind’.

He entered the film world in 1952, and featured in movies like “Watan Se Door”, “Daada”, “Rustom-E-Baghdad”, “Sher Dil”, “Sikandar E Azam”, “Raaka”, “Mera Naam Joker” and “Dharam Karam”. He was last seen playing Kareena Kapoor’s grandfather in Imtiaz Ali’s  ”Jab We Met.”

He played the role of Hanuman in Doordarshan’s TV series, Ramayan.
