The unprecedented and historic run of Aamir Khan’s Dangal in China has meant that the blockbuster is now targeting records that truly justify the word – ‘unbelievable’.
The film has collected nearly Rs 730 crore in China and it recorded its best ever day on its 3rd Saturday (16th day) at the box office – collecting more than Rs 100 crore on a single day. This means the word-of-mouth is driving the film to insane levels of business and it could even add Rs 300 crore (nearly $50 million) or more to its total before the end of its run.
This would mean, Dangal will cross the Rs 1000 crore mark in China – a country where no other Indian film had previously crossed the Rs 125 crore mark. In fact, a film without Aamir Khan hasn’t even crossed the Rs 15 crore mark in China and here we have a film like Dangal that could do one thousand crores!
It also gives the film a fairly decent chance of grossing more than 2000 crore globally. Dangal has already grossed nearly 1500 crore. It’ll beat Bahubali in next 3-4 days and become the highest grossing Indian film of all time.

Why Dangal’s China Achievement means more then Bahubali in India;
Dangal has been truly watched by Global Audience unlike Bahubali 2 which was watched mainly by NRI’s living overseas. Dangal has been accepted both in India and countries like China, Taiwan which are foreign to our movies. The fact is more people in the world now know about Dangal then bahubali 2 as china is most populous country in the world. You can continue denying that but on a global scale Dangal has outperformed Bahubali. as far as khans is concerned …let Prabhas walk on delhi streets or Mumbai not even 0.1% will recognise him do the same with Aamir or Srk see the reaction…fact is Khans and Bollywood is way way bigger…thats why u need a dharma productions to distribute your movie

It is totally wrong to compare Dangal and Baahubali. They have only 1 similarity that is they are driven purely by content. Indian cinema needs much more if both kind of films. Both have set and are still setting unbelievable records. Baahubali 2 started well due to unprecedented hype which Dangal didn’t have and Dangal is going towards 2000cr based on collections in China where Baahubali hasn’t released.
IMAGINE IF AAMIR KHAN AND S.S.RAJAMOULI COME TOGETHER FOR AN EVENT FILM!
This proves that china is a much bigger economy than India and there is no comparison.

10crore+ people see bhaubali2 in India = 1000 crores
Do the maths. 5 times more people seen bhaubali than dangal but figures are nearly similar. This proves china is way ahead of India in terms of consumer market n financial power!

Definitely a great achievement. But tell me one thing, what will be the profit for the Dangal movie producer from china business. I think BOI updated that chinese business model is different and they buy the hindi movies at very low price also all the profit will be with the chinese distibutor.

even if it’s cross 2000 RS at China….producer will get nothing they sold to local at 30 CR and Chinese will earn at least 400 CR if business crosses 1000 CR…China allow only 34 foreign film per year for sharing revenues…ie 25 % of collection goes to foreign…dangal sells to local distributior for 30 CR they will earn 50% of collection… that’s how Chinese rule….b2 had will cross 1000 nett India only distribution share of around 700 cr
