Dangal has shattered several box office records in its 3rd weekend in China and the phenomenal run of the film continues – as it has recorded its best ever day at the China box office on its 16th day!
Some Dangal Records:
- It has become the first ‘Indian’ film to cross $100 million mark in any overseas country.
- It becomes the second ‘Indian’ film to gross $100 million in a single country, after ‘Bahubali 2’ which has grossed more than $100 million in India. First ever for an Hindi film.
- The footfalls of Dangal in China has crossed the 2 crore mark. It’s the first film to sell so many ticket in any country outside India. No other Hindi film except Dangal and Sultan sold more than 2 crore tickets even in the home country – India.
- Dangal has also beaten the lifetime collections of several Hollywood films and even the biggie ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2’ which ‘clashed’ with Dangal on the same day at the China box office. It has collected $92 million, while Dangal has crossed $100 million mark.
- The worldwide collections of Dangal has now crossed the Rs 1400 crore gross mark. Beating the worldwide gross of ‘Bahubali 2: The Conclusion’ looks like a certainty now.

Being a south indian and being a Salman fan, im very happy for Aamir and bollywood, some Bahubali producer claims that no any Khan or actors can touch this feet and Prabhas is number one, he has overly excited by claiming this, hope he has learnt lessons from Amir and bollywood, if south indian received Dangal as north indian received Bahubali then Dangal would have been other level even the tax for the bollywood is very much more compare to the regional films, pls don’t b over excited south ppl think before you speak, respect Khan’s who are still ruling since from last 28 years, hope Salman and SRK soon comes to the 1000 crore club..

WOW! It raises the bar for success of big films all over India! When someone said that Baahubali 2 can cross 1000 crore Worldwide, I labelled them as exaggerating idiots but now it seems a cakewalk! Even Dangal 1000 Cr was a non-certainty as 300 crores in Single overseas market looked impossible….but re-iterates the fact that Content and Universal Appeal can vanquish all……the biggest crowdpullers in the country are still Salman,SRK,Rajni Sir,Hrithik and all could have just expected them to cross 1000 crores but a non-megastarrer Baahubali 2 wrecked all the records and now this rural-set desi entertainer about Kushti breaks records in China! It paves way for bigger budgets for dream projects in the industry, especially for Aamir who can now put as much money as he wants, because if content is there, his movies are sure to break all the records in China and India…..even $100 Mn projects can now be made!
