Last night, there was a rumour doing the rounds that Dabangg 2 would be delayed, as major portions of the film were yet to be shot.
It turns out, the rumour wasn’t true and was intentionally being spread. We have received official clarification that the film is on schedule to release for Christmas. The next shooting begins next week and the film will be wrapped up by November.
The following release dates are confirmed for November – December
- November 13th – Yash Chopra film, Son of Sardaar
- November 30th – Talaash
- December 7th – Khiladi 786
- December 21st – Dabangg 2
The first big release of 2013 is Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, which arrives on 11th January. Which means, Dabangg 2 would benefit from 21 open days!

Ek Tha Tiger made huge strides on its third Saturday as it took a huge jump collecting around 2-2.25 crore nett. The collections were double of Friday at many places as the film jumped due to the non performance of Joker.
After Friday it seemed difficult that the film would get a 6 crore nett third weekend but now it will cruise past that total and may possibly even cross 7 crore nett for the third weekend.
Ek Tha Tiger will have collections close to 180 crore nett mark after its third weekend. this is by BOI 4 haters who are saying ett is not gonna cross 3I…………

Dabaang 2 when it releases will shatter every record existing to create new records and landmarks. No doubt the response would be earth-shattering. D2 has another all time block buster written all over it. And on that very day, rajni kanth’s most awaited movie will also release. If you are a fan of both the legendary megastars like me, then it would be no less than a festival. Just imagine “the biggest and ultimate mega superstars on this planet” releasing their movies on same day! And mark my word these two “larger-than-life” mega super star’s movies would literally shake the indian movie industry all together and make history on that day.
Those who are mocking that ett will not collect more than “190 C”, first realise that it is still a huge huge amount and still second highest ever. And a movie releasing on diwali this year with over 3500 screens, would not be even collecting more than “90 C” in india. So we have wait till nov 15, to create a “mockery record” for that movie and everyone will be given a chance to mock that movie. the best one will also be getting a special prize. So wait till nov 15.

And much more entertainment…” you have to realise that audiences want entertainment and it is not necessarily to be only a masala movie, even a good rom-com genre can be blockbuster but it all depends on audience. As long as audience love those movies, almost every actor will do such type of movies. So ‘a masala blockbuster or a masala disaster’, its only what the movie audience make it. Audience break or make a movie and its star.
salman has now become a ‘larger than life’ superstar like rajni kanth. So dont worry about salman he is more wise,matured and choosy now than he was earlier. He knows which movies to do and which not to do according to his countless fans expectations. So if his fans want him to do a romantic movie he would do it, but having said that salman is beyond those movies because of his ‘larger than life’ image and any way even now a days ranbir or imraan can do a romantic blockbuster but no one can play larger than life roles better than salman today.
@ Rehan, Bollywood means masala movies. If you do not like them do not watch bollywood movies. You can else watch movies of Satyaji Ray, Mrinal Sen, Rituporno Ghosh, Govind Nihalni, Shyam Benegal, etc. Salman means entertianment and masala movies. By the way he has also done lot of sensible movies – MPK, HAHK, HDDCS, Tere Naam, Khamoshi, etc.
