With collections from various centres pouring in, Dabangg 2 has performed well on Sunday. The film has picked up by around 25% from Saturday, while a few single-screen dominated centres have managed to put up even better numbers.
1st Friday: The presence of Salman Khan and the Dabangg brand value drew audiences in hordes for the morning shows. Since it was a working day, afternoon and evening shows had lower occupancy. In North India, evening and night shows were affected due to extreme cold. All India Collections – Rs 21 crore nett.
1st Saturday: After the euphoria and excitement on Day 1, Saturday morning shows opened slow and remained steady throughout the day. Hardly any growth at multiplexes, while single screens dropped by around 20% from Friday. The India vs England T20 cricket match too resulted in lower occupancy for evening/night shows. All India Collections – Rs 19 crore nett.
1st Sunday: As per early estimates, Sunday is likely to be around 25-26 crore net. Decent growth in business, although the trade expected bigger numbers from a film released on a huge numbers of screens. Salman Khan’s last release, Ek Tha Tiger collected Rs 23 crore on it’s 1st Sunday (released on Wednesday).
Dabangg2 First Weekend Collections: 65-66 crore nett (approx)
Will the film remain steady on Monday (first weekday) or crash? The Christmas holiday on 25th will benefit the film, but the keenly-awaited India vs Pakistan T20 cricket match is also scheduled to take place on the same day. What sort of impact will that have on the film?

day 2 (nett) 18.9
day 2 16 crore is false.
day 3 figures are not completely out yet and BOI hv again predicted ahead of the others. They seriously hv some issues 2 sort out
The figures given by other sites except boi r showing 19 crores nett on day 2 nd 21 crore on day 1 and these figures r posted on sunday therefore certainly not predictions.
BOI got their figures wrong nd it is no big deal.
BOI is a good site but not a prominent one. In google too if u search for collections of movies on day 1(not time wise) BOI generally winds up in page 2 or later links of page 1. Wikipedia uses BOI infos coz BOI predict quite early nd wind up getting it wrong nd not rectifying it
Thus all u srk fans stop posting false figures abt d-2 frm BOI. U r giving ur opinions on indicine nt they also r showing quite different nett results

so, how is the year 2012 for him. In 2012 he has two releases. One is Ek Tha Tiger which broken each record at the box office except the lifetime record of 3 Idiots by a whisker. Another is Dabangg 2 which is touted as a sure shot goldmine at the box office. He is having an amazing run from 2009 onwards. He has the highest grosser film in 2010 and 2011. And in all certainty 2012 is also going the same way. Salman Khan is sure shot to give Hattrick of Biggest grossers (Dabangg 2010, Bodyguard 2011, ETT/Dabangg 2 2012), which has never happened ever at the box office since pro Amitabh Bachchan stage.

Dabangg 2, which made a hefty collections on its opening day at the India Box Office, made a large collection at its Overseas Opening as well. The movie released on Thursday in some places at the overseas. The Thursday + Friday Overseas Box Office collection of Dabangg 2 is 1.35 Million USD which approximates to INR 7.30 Crores. This is indeed a huge figure for a Bollywood Masala Movie released Overseas….it relesed in very few countries on thursday…stil it is mind boggling!!
