Commando 2 has collected Rs 4.25 crore on its opening day at the box office. The collections of the film is decent, but unless business grows over the weekend and the film holds steady Monday onwards, Commando 2 will struggle to cross the 25 crore mark – which is what it needs to be a reasonably decent grosser.
The film opened fairly well at single-screens, but showed a drop noon onwards. Most of the business on Day 1 has come from smaller centres. The occupancy at multiplexes was poor throughout the day, with the Hollywood film ‘Logan’ leading in metro cities.
It remains to be seen if the film can show growth on Saturday. The potential is there, because the film has released on 2200 plus screens, but the reports coming in from theatres is mixed to negative.
