  • my most favorite song of the album! i believe the video will be a visual treat…eagerly waiting for the release now!
#hrithikians brothers, we will rock this 12th august…stay united guys.

  • @Thug: Nailed it! ??
Some losers have problems with each and everything related to MohenjoDaro!
I have even seen people asking if people used to wax! Isn’t it a ridiculous question?
    Pseudointellectualism is killing them!
Gowariker dedicated 3 years of his life to study about that era . Moreover he took help from some well-known archeologists and History experts! So obviously He does have much better knowledge than these 2rs hypocrites who are barking shit all over day about MohenjoDaro!
I am not saying the movie is completely accurate in terms of historical accuracies. But a movie like MohenjoDaro can never be historically accurate either due to lack of proper evidences about that era.
In an interview, Gowariker admitted that women used to be mostly nude during that time! So he had to put his own visions! It’s a Bollywood movie after all. You can’t expect a topless lady and we won’t accept such things either!
People should understand that MohenjoDaro is a reflection of Gowariker’s visions! Nobody has seen that era. Gowariker has tried his best for the project! Let’s appreciate it!

  • The song is out of the world with two beautiful innocent faces…sarman n chaani are wooing our hearts n coming to rule on 12th :-*

  • @JC

Well, reading your first comment everyone can see on what taste you posted it. You can try and defend your post but the intention is clear in the way you put it up. And as far as the name calling goes it was not specifically for you but for all the people who are trying so hard to put the movie down with facts and figures they don’t even have a clue about…reading all these experts’ opinions makes one feel that they were all born in that era! Apologies if felt bad….cheers!

  • @Indicine Team,

Thanks for the clarification on the “sandals” part. But, i guess you guys are completely wrong.

10,000 years ago people wore footwear made of leaves, and not leather or other material.

Now let us talk about 2500 years ago…..at MJD times, in the Indian sub-continent, people wore Paduka, which does not resemble in any way that is shown in MJD.

And, why go all the way back to 2500 years, when even a few decades back, poor people never used to wear any kind of footwear in the country. They used to walk barefoot. The people shown in the trailer are poor people wearing a good woven sandal, which is completely out of sync with any of the historical evidences.

The earliest examples of footwear worn on the Indian subcontinent is a sandal of wood, datable to circa 200 BC, and not 2500 BC. (http://www.thehindu.com/lr/2003/01/05/stories/2003010500300500.htm)

The movie trailer itself is full of inaccuracies. Since you guys have posted a link to prove, here is another link fo a guy’s blog who have tried to show the flaws regarding the traditional costumes etc., in the trailers, scenes and songs of the movie – http://purushu.com/2016/06/mohenjo-daro-trailer-gets-the-costumes-wrong.html

Quoting wikipedia is okay, but it is pretty easy. However, if you had researched a bit, you would have known how silly the depiction of the prevalent culture and tradition is , as far as the costumes are concerned, in this movie of the time it is showcasing.

If the movie works, all this will be forgotten, but the fact remains that the depiction is completely off mark of the time and traditions of the real MJD.

  • @ Nipun, people don’t hate Hro that they are commenting on the attires etc., of MJD, but because it is an Ashutosh movie, hence people expected more realism, and so far the same is missing.

I guess you guys are taking it too personally here.

When you say realism, the point to be noted here especially is no one actually knows 100% what it was like in that era. We only have minimal information about the way the city was and how the people looked like and how the infrastructure was. So when a person like Ashutosh tries to make a commercial movie with the above premises and culture as the background he has to take cinematic liberties for execute the movie. He cannot show people roaming around naked or topless even if that was the case then. When he says he had done research for 3 years during which he met world famous archaeologists associated with Mohenjo daro I guess one thing what we should trust in Ashutosh is that he will definitely make use of the acquired knowledge in the film. And moreover it is not a documentary about Mohenjo daro civilization and its development it is a commercial film he is executing. So my point is keeping all the above in mind what is the need of the unwanted bashing this movie is getting since the trailer is shown?

  • @jc,but it’s irony that bhojpuris are also finding logics from movies now a days.but they don’t have any problem if bhai can blow 15 man air with one punch really irony!!!!!go get a class non actor’s bhojpuri fans before barking, rofl.

  • First of all, I will watch this movie thinking that it is a movie of history plus fiction. I don’t consider it a pure historical movie.
But I will definitely watch it because it looks interesting to me.

  • @Nipun, you were supposed to never ever comment on Indicine. You said you had left Indicine forever. Or you should not have behaved like that on that day.
Ya yeh tere aatma badak raha hai, kyun ki you said anybody that would comment after your departure would be a Fake ID?

  • @Sss, it looks like you are obsessed with Bhojpur. You keep chanting Bhojpur all the time.
Perhaps your forefathers might have migrated from Bhojpuri. Still you are from a state which is so near to Bhojpur.

@Jc, I second to your arguments. Guys, read what he has written as well.

  • @ thug, just saw your comment, and I wholly agree on your point of cinematic liberties.

Let us say that the movie and the story finally does justice and things all fall in place.

The issue is that MJD is not just an era or a time in the past, but deeply a proud moment for people in Indian subcontinent when it was excavated and discovered, and we still say with pride about how people in this part of the world were much more advanced during the time when majority of the other world were still hunting around for a living.

Now, advanced meaning, it was never meant to be colourful clothing and footwear, but the way of living with properly constructed houses, pathways etc.,

Why they chose to take MJD can only be known once the movie releases, but it was a pretty bold move, and if you take such a bold move, you got to back it with strong content that involves pretty much everything from the story to the way of life during that era, which includes, what they wore, the work they did, the buildings, the roads, how they conversed etc.,

    @sss. don’t bother. pls.
