Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer ‘Brothers’ has been passed by the Censor Board of Film Certification with a U/A rating. The film was passed after three verbal cuts.
This means, Brothers can be seen by viewers of all ages but it comes with parental guidance for kids below 12 years of age.
According to a reliable source from the film unit, the censor board allowed the usage of the word ‘bastard’ two times
“The cussword ‘bastard’ featured five times in the dialogues in Brothers. Initially, the Censor Board members told director Karan Malhotra to delete all five ‘bastards’. But then the director pointed out that the word had a direct and deep relation to the storyline and to Akshay Kumar and Siddharth Malhotra’s relationship with their screen father Jackie Shroff”
“Pahlaj Nihalani (the chief of the censor board) had a closed-door meeting with the director where Karan Malhotra explained why the word was necessary. He finally allowed the forbidden word in two places in the dialogues.”
Produced by Karan Johar, Brothers is the story of two brothers who are pitted against each other. It is an official remake of the 2011 Hollywood movie ‘Warrior’. The emotional action drama that also stars Jackie Shroff and Shefali Shah, is all set to hit theaters on 14th August.

why does this happen? when a movie of an actor is releasing other actor’s fans tells and writes negavities about the movies. many other actors fans attack akshay kumar telling him flop. every actors helps this bollywood industry. so stop spreading negavities. brothers seems a nice movie. you could see the hard work of the actors. for your note i am a fan of bollywood and like every good movies. liked baby, badlapur, gabbar, bagrangi bhai, tannu weds 2, abcd2, drishyam, piku, nh10. waiting for brothers, prem ratan, khatti batti, gayal returns, dilwale, bajirao mastani, singh is bling, wazir, tamasha, raees, airlift. for salman i was waiting for bajrangi and kick2, for srk is raees and fan, akshay kumar is brothers and airlift. ajay devgan is drisham and badshao. i like when actors like akshay do many movies a year. even srk will have 3 movies in a row. even salman will have two movies and i am expecting more movies in a year by the actors. l will take an example of akshay doing 4 movies a year. many people just because they prefer another actor just write nagativities against akshay. telling his movies flop. if an actor does a movie then there are many jobs and revenue, many people gets job such as actors main and junior, directors many more. many more others get jobs. cinema also get to make money and run business. akshay movie is not so much expensively sold and small theatres are able to run. now multiple by 4 as he does 4 movies. so much work and money gained. there are money gain indirectly also and that huge amount. as i said even srk is doing 3 movies in the next 8 months and salman doing 2 in row expects 3 movies from him next year. so much money will be in bollywood with stars doing more movies. think about it and stop wasting useless time fighting just to degrade actors which you are not fan

Well said. Sid has proven his highest crowd puller among the stars of brothers including Mr akshay k. But I don’t think the collection would be of ek villian. That is very big for skshay fans. Never have they witness such opening day and weekend like Superstar Sid. My fear is let his fans not start to jump if they witness anything from 17 crores and credit it to akshay. If their fans call Brothers akshay movie then Jacqueline fernandez is the only star to give out biggest opening which was KICK among all the entire hero and heroines of the movie BROTHERS. 28 crores.
