Dharma Productions’ Brothers opened well at the box office last Friday and showed decent growth in business on Saturday (holiday for Independence Day), but after two good days, the film has shown consistent drops.
Brothers has collected Rs 72.6 crore in its first week and looking at the drop on 2nd Friday, the film is certain to finish below the 100 crore mark at the domestic box office.
Brothers is Akshay’s costliest film, so the film is heading towards Flop / Below Average status, depending on how it fares in its second weekend.

Akki is not a superstar and a below average actor
even nawaz is more popular than akki after kick and BB
Don’t blame the studio or critics. A bad film is a bad film and Sid needs to take some responsibility for it’s failure. The film worked in all the usual Akhay regions and failed in the metros where Sid should have some pull. Not to mention Akshay is the only one who got reviews.

What is the use of millions of fans who are just out there to comment and like on online sites, when the most important thing is to get them to the movies.
Ajay Devgn may not have the charismatic star power, but i feel Ajay has grown above Akshay in terms of stardom. The proof of which are his Golmaal and Singham series collections. His bold move to release SOS along with a srk multistarrer has made him realise his strengths.
Also, he is producing movies and his upcoming big budget movies are creating lot of interest. He made a few mistakes, but his top end collections are pretty good than Akshay.
Ranbir is also in to production.
May be not in to production, but Akshay should give sometime to promote the movie and get producers to release in a lucrative date that ensure maximum holidays at the start.
If the trend of lower collections continue, i doubt he can sustain in the long run. Some strategy needs to worked upon by him.
Since he an Action star, he should pitch for movies like Dhoom, and some other out-n-out action movies (on the lines of hollywood Fast N Furious) mixing it with good comic timings, he can do wonders. Dhoom with Akshay will be awesome, i feel, but, if only, his PR, if there are any, should get his nod to talk to the makers.
May be he is underestimating his capabilities.

Baby was less in entertainment nd so was gabbar . gabbars 1st half was really boring nd just because of the Message in the end Ppl r calling it good film . So was brothers again less entertainment factor otherwise First week collection of all these movies were good enough to cross 100 cr nd also All of these movies were mainly for male audience unlike khans movies ,Their every movie is for family audience nd their movies r also high in entertainment for both male nd female sexxXxXx . movies like HNY kick Are far better then akshays all 3 movies in terms of entertainment ..!

BB had high number of screens compare to Brothers however BB was facing Bahubali storm whereas Brothers is released after both BB storms has gone down !!!!!!!! Despite that Brothers was expected to do at least 90 crs in first week with 60+ crs weekend (Due to Independence Day) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
