When Agneepath did record business on Day 1, everyone expected the film to smash weekend records with more than 15+ crores on Day 2.
Well known trade analyst Taran Adarsh predicted the second day collections to be in the 15-18 crore range. Another trade expert Komal Nahta even declared that Hrithik Roshan is the 5th actor to enter the 100 crore club.
Just a day later, things have changed and quite drastically, proving yet again that it’s absolutely impossible to make accurate box-office predictions.
While Hrithik Roshan fans were overjoyed with the response to Agneepath yesterday, his critics are on over-drive today. The exact same people, who credited Sanjay Dutt, Chikni Chameli and even Rishi Kapoor for ‘historic opening’ of Agneepath yesterday, are holding Hrithik Roshan responsible for the drop in collections.
Fact is, the lead star can only guarantee a good initial – which Hrithik did yesterday. The rest entirely depends on the film’s merits.

jokes a part i dont think its hritik’s fault he acted really well so as sanju baba and rishi kapoor was best i believe. the main reason is the script. thats not hritik’s calliber movie. he shouldnt have picked this movie because he clearly dont have the star power like salman, aamir and srk who can get their even worse film hit but i m sure if sat and sun film do little better than it can atleast be hit because mon is the real challenge
A movie stands at 33 crore after 2 days on a 4 day weekend release and pple are calling it a disaster? Wait untill mnday before making a verdict. As u say boxoffice is unpredictable. Just 2 years ago salman was having flops just like shahid.
Bollywoodfan, that’s the whole point. People are just jumping into conclusions. 33 crores in 2 days is an average of 16.5 per day. That’s huge. Just that the drop is alarming. Let’s see. Should remain steady from here on.

agneepath is denitely not a bad film ,just now i watched the film the only problem is there is too much drama that makes film duration longer, yes there is some exciting scenes here and there but i think it wont cross 100 crore, sorry hrithik fans i really wish it break all the records but not possible
Don 2 was a superb..it deserved to be a blockbuster..these critics r all always behind SRK..Agneepath is also very good than bodyguard..but Hrithik can’t equate with Khans.
Hi, I think it’s a kind of misguiding with such news because if you compare day one with day two, the collection has been dropped by 50% but yet the film is running with dignity and collected about 13 crore on day 2. Do you people think that this amount is small?? It’s only small compared to the day 1. Otherwise, the collection is still too huge. On the other hand, you also should have finish what Taran Adarsh said. He said the film dropped due to having working day on Friday but will again rise on 3rd and 4rth day. Didn’t he say that?? As far as Bodyguard record is concerned, Bodyguard got a clean free 5 days weekend having holly-days in each of the 5 days while Agneepath got 4 day weekend among which, one day is working day and that is Friday. So the weekend collection should not be compared with bodyguard as Bodyguard got such a free 5 day weekend. Agneepath is backed up with excellent reviews and positive response from audience, so I find it completely a ridiculous to give alomost a final comment on Agneepath such way when the weekend itself is yet to be finished, let alone the weekdays!! you can expect Agneepath to break record of a single day of Bodyguard or Ra.One but you can’t expect to break the total weekend collection when Both Bodyguard and Ra.One got Eid and Dilwalli advantage. Remember, a film like ZNMD, which had only class appeal started with 9 crore on the openning day, 10 crore on the second, and 11 crore on the 3rd day. The rest of the days counted 5/6 crore in each day of the first week but yet ended up with 90 crore at the Indian Box Office only. So entering into the 100 crore club for Hrithik Roshan is as easy as it was expected!!
It is difficult for Aagnipath to hold on the weekdays. And if it fails target of 100 crore will be kept in dream box for Krrish 3.

No doubt, Hiritik is a good actor. But you know this is the age of Khans and the King of Bollywood is still SHAHRUKH KHAN. His stardum is unbeatable by any other actor of Bollywood. If you want to confirm it just see the results of Polling of Best Actor 2011 conducted by Indicine. He is still unmatchable and the most popular actor of bollywood.
