Ajay Devgn has said the standard of action in Hindi films has remained the same over the last few years and it was time to take it a “step ahead” with his upcoming film ‘Shivaay’. He added that he was ‘bored’ and ‘fed up’ of action that was seen in our films.
“Action comes quite easy to me once I decide and I plan. This time I decided to execute… I’m bored and fed up of action which we see in our films. I needed to take a step ahead” Ajay said.
Ajay said a film like ‘Shivaay’ wouldn’t have been possible 5 years ago, as the visual effects wouldn’t be on-par with the scale and visuals that were required.
“It would have been tougher to make this film five years ago. It’s just the visual effects and also the mixing of live shooting. It has to be shot right, it has to be shot at the right locations and then you enhance it. Five years ago, it wouldn’t have been possible” he said.
Shivaay is scheduled to release in theatres on October 28.
Says a man who’s made action films like Himmatwala, Action Jackson, Son of Sardar, Singham 2 in recent time.
