Bombay Velvet Day 2 (Saturday) Box Office Collections

Bombay Velvet has failed to show any growth in business on Saturday, as multiplex business continued to remain dull on Day 2. The film has now collected around Rs 10.5 crore, as per early estimates.

The Ranbir Kapoor starrer is likely to collect Rs 16 crore in its first weekend, which would make it the 9th highest first weekend grosser in 2015.

Day 2 Collections of films released in 2015 below.

  • Furious 7 – 11.92 crore
  • Avengers - 11.85 crore
  • Gabbar Is Back – 11.35 crore
  • Baby – 11.17 crore
  • Roy - 11.16 crore
  • Badlapur – 8.75 crore
  • Piku - 8.7 crore
  • Tevar - 7.12 crore
  • Ek Paheli Leela – 5.2 crore

When the final collections come in, the first Saturday business of Bombay Velvet will be about the same as Ek Paheli Leela.

The occupancy of last week’s release Piku was better than Bombay Velvet at several multiplexes across the country. It should collect around 13-14 crore in its second weekend. Piku is heading for a 65 crore plus total.

  • @Imtiyaz
    such a narrow minded crap..
It was Katrina’s role in the film to seduce gulshan grover…. And how else can she seduce.. By touching his feet and requesting him to get seduced????????

Seems like indicine only moderates those comments which do not require moderation..

  • u just can’t sell crap in the label of class.. same will happen with dil dhadakne do.. anurag kashyap is an overrated n overconfident director.. he is just a Hollywood struck director.. wannabe Hollywood director.. BV is just not a disaster on commercial front but also on filmmaking.. awful movie! n rk on the other hand is a media created star.. n the biggest mistake he has done in his life is to make fun of legends like srk n salman in besharam.. after the success of yjhd he thought he can take on legends n megastars of Hindi cinema like srk n salman.. this has resulted in upsetting their fans n now he is paying the price for it.. bottom line is don’t mess with the khans or u will be the next vivek oberoi.. I said it during yjhd success that his true test begins now n he has failed big time!

  • Anurag Kashyap is ten times better than Martin Scorsese. Bombay Velvet is way better than Goodfellas, Departed and Wolf of wall street.

  • Indian critics hypocrisy, cannot accept local talent. Bombay velvet is Oscar worthy acheivement.

  • @indicine, looks like BV box office shocked you enough to send u to coma. All day no News.

    R u ok???

  • I haven’t watch the movie as well so far I can’t criticism any way hope fully his career graph goes up again,if potential person failed doesn’t matter he has age to become bankable star both ranbir, ranveer and finally varun as well.m a fan of srk hope in coming days big budgets movie will nt disappoint us.including salman and srk with high content script with major box office success.

  • bv flopped big time and now it proves comparing ranbir with akshay is like chalk and cheese……. doing multiple films and yet giving success is not ordinary feat.. proud to be a akshay fan……..

  • See, let me look at it objectively.
First of all, Mr. RK has no emphatic fan following so to say and his films so far has been riding on good scripts, Directors like Anurag Basu and banners like Dharma Productions.
So, he should shed that feeling that he is a superstar and I am at a level par to Khans in the industry, where the truth is that he is still not at par with HR or AK.
So shed the pompous self, take good scripts, and be more humble.
you can look upto Genx stars like Varun, Sid and all in that respect.
For me, Ranbir is the most over rated actor of this generation, and YJHD was the most over rated film I have ever seen.
I think SK is more of a good actor than ‘Papa actor hei, isliye aaya’.
After all he is not Salman Khan to make blockbusters with no script at all.
