Bombay Talkies has collected Rs 4 crores in it’s first weekend at the box office. The film collected 1.1 crore on Friday, picked up on Saturday, but didn’t show enough growth in business on Sunday.
Considering the film’s limited appeal, recovery now looks difficult unless the film remains steady over the weekdays.
For a film made to celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema, hardcore film buffs have only had good things to say about Bombay Talkies. Each of the four stories has been liked and appreciated, both by the critics and the audience, which is more important for a film like this than box office results.
