On Monday evening in Guwahati, a 17-year-old teenager had gone to a pub with her friend. When she was looking for an auto-rickshaw to return home, around 11 men pounced on her, molested her while the other girl (her friend) escaped from the scene.
Unfortunately, video footage of the incident was uploaded on the internet and went viral.
On Twitter, various Bollywood celebrities condemned the incident. Below are some of their tweets.

Saudi arabia kind of law should be enforced in India also, any person indulged in such kind of acts should be hanged on the spot with no warrants or bail, atleast should hang one of them and mark my words, the rest of them shall not dare to repeat it!!
our police are the biggest criminals, most of the crimes are carried out at behest of these policemen and least say about those madar***d politicians and government who does nothing, only knows how to do scams worth crores.
i had worked in Saudi arabia for 3 yrs in a mnc and believe me every or alternate friday after juma prayers such kind of people engaged in any heinous crimes are hanged in full public view, there are no district courts, no high court, no supreme court and there is no hearing, once proved that a particular person is engaged in crime, he is bound to get punished severely and most of time gets death sentence.

In a sovereign country like ours, we speak blah blah when the incident has occurred and later tend to forget about it….be it the Mumbai attacks … acid attacks … black money stashed abroad issues. Why aren’t issues given a proper closure……All depends on how the media is able to convert to the advantage of the people backing it……I agree strongly with the middle east practices against crime……there is no fear of punishment in India……hence crime is increasing steeply……bring stringent laws……..what can police alone do…..with the kind of utilities given to them….. they are always joked about……its we the people who should stand strong against these atrocities…….bring in a change to safeguard our bahu betis…..not point fingers on how they should dress etc…….but give them confidence that India is safe for everyone who wishes to contribute to its growth….It would again require for all of us men and women to be united and create a society which has fear for wrongdoing and freedom for those who go good…….All the people involved in this ghastly crime need to be imprisoned for life……hanging just eases the pain……agonizing paid is life is jail …..it will teach these hooligans as to why they went for it…..also punish the scribe if found guilty……they had no business to show the identity of the victim…..ban the channel….ban the bar…..
