Best Film: 3 Idiots – With both critical acclaim and historic box office collections, 3 Idiots is all set to sweep the major awards this year.
Best Director: Rajkumar Hirani for 3 Idiots
Best Actor: Amitabh Bachchan for Paa. Very unlikely that Aamir would get Best Actor unless he decides to attend the awards ceremony.
Best Actress: Kareena Kapoor (Kurbaan) or Priyanka Chopra (Kaminey). Would be a shame if Kareena wins it for 3 Idiots, she hardly had much of a role in the film.
Best Supporting Actress: Vidya Balan for Paa
Best Supporting Actor: Omi (Chatur) for 3 Idiots
Best Film Critics – Paa or Kaminey
Best Actor Critics – Shahid Kapoor for Kaminey
Best Actress Critics – If Kareena wins Best Actress, then Priyanka for Kaminey. Or vice versa.

I think Amitabh is going to sweep the best actor awards,, and win both best actor popular and critics for his brilliant auro act (and of course taking into consideration that Aamir isn’t going to win since he doesn’t attend these things!)
What do you think? I think Shahid was great.. easily his career-best, but Amitabh was just on another level.
I have the same point of view of Amitab’s role in Paa as Raja sen…i dont think it was the best performance in the world or of the year….it was just putting on prosteics and acting and just changing your voice…i thought that the characterization of Auro was highly especially his character and his personality…..i really think Abhay Deol in Dev D and Aamir in 3 Idiots were far superior….
however has done this…it is bakwass…salman shd get the best award for sure..

I think Amir plying 22year old college guy without the extravaganza of make-up is much more superior then Big B playing Auro in Paa. Though Bachchan sir did super acting without a doubt considering his age…but still Amir khan plyin a young guy was much harder… @Indicine in review of Paa u said Big B’s acting in black n paa along with hrittik acting in koi mil gaya were the best acting of this decade…what about amir khan in 3i!!

Amithab Bachan will get best actor coz he’s so overrated. but Aamir, shahid and salman deserve it more. but thank God Aamir and salman do not care for those trash awards. they already know they are good, and Neil should win best supportig actor for new york.
Akshay Kumar is making market corrections. After realizing that his last few films lost out on profit because of his high fee, Khiladi Kumar is now proposing a new idea to ease the way for his producers.
Now, Akki won’t be charging a single penny for his upcoming films TEES MAAR KHAN and KHATTA MEETHA. This decision has been arrived after the actor realized that the market scene required such a move.
Though, Akshay will be the co-producer of these films, making sure that he benefits from them as well, but this cost-cutting plan has surely given him an edge over many actors who quote nightmarish fee to their producers making the business of the film suffer in the end.

thanks masa for reminding neil and also irfan khan for new york in supporting role category they also deserved in nominees and saying the fact that is very good words from you yaar..Aamir and salman and even ranbir do not care for those trash awards…they are good human being …and their award is they are in our hearts of common people …..with one of the blockbuster of 2009 3 idiots ,wanted,apkgk….. proof there popularity ….but then also they are not going to get awards as you said thrash awards……but once again i want to say that the way of thrash awards is not going today only…but it had done in old times also when dharmendraji and vinod khanna and many more deserved awards but they dont get awards because that time also the awards are thrash….so, over all dharmendraji and vinod khanna , aamir ,salman and ranbir kapoor with many actors …who deserved will not going to get whwn they deserved…..but as i say that there awards is that they are in common people hearts forever…..

this is good if he is not charging his fee like DDD. i m sure abt tees maar khan that akki is co producer but i m not sure abt Khatta Meetha . but now SRK is also doing same thing , so it is good idea from all heroes that budget would be in control and movie can get good business.
if these super stars wont charge their fee then i think every movie can be complete within 20 cr , and all super stars has worth to get at least 40 cr .
Aamir khan is surely best actor of this decade…as compare to 1990’s…..Because he has give back to back 5 hit among them back to back All time blockbuster looks very near….Before 2005,Aamir khan even hasnot more than 8-9 hit on his credit but from 2005,he is non stopable

Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and 3 Idiots were the big winners at the Aaj Tak Movie Masala Awards 2009, which were announced on Tuesday. Completely audience driven, the winners were adjudged by viewers through SMS votes and online polling.
Salman walked away with the best actor (male) award for his role in the Boney Kapoor- produced action blockbuster, Wanted, which marked the Bollywood debut of Prabhu Deva as director.
Salman scored as an undercover cop who infiltrates the mafia with the mission of finishing off the underworld, recording 34 per cent of the total votes.
Viewers voted for him over the likes of Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor.
Salman’s real- life girlfriend Katrina Kaif was voted the best actress (female) for her role in Rajkumar Santoshi’s superhit comedy, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. The comic book rom- com cast Katrina opposite Ranbir. Katrina, the reigning glam goddess right now, polled 39 per cent votes, beating Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukherji, Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra.
Katrina is out of the country and couldn’t come to personally collect the award.
The trophy for the best director went to Raj Kumar Hirani for 3 Idiots. The film, starring Aamir, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena, brilliantly narrated the coming- of- age story of three friends in their engineering college days.
