Bhavna Talwar is an Indian journalist. Her directorial debut ‘Dharm’ has fetched her a nomination for the 2007 Gucci Group Award.
Dharm explores religious fanaticism and caste conflicts in India by blending European and Indian cinematic styles. The movie had a successful screening at the 60th Cannes International Film Festival 2007.
The Gucci Group Award is bestowed to an internationally-acclaimed artist who has made a
remarkable contribution to a film in any capacity within the past 18 months, as a director,
actor, screenwriter, set designer, or costume designer.
