Best Kareena Kapoor Songs: Top 10

Kareena Kapoor has come a long way since her debut in Refugee more than a decade ago in 2000. Expectations were high given her family background, but there is no denying the fact that Bebo was a star from the day she entered the film industry.

Even though her first few films were under-performers at the box office, she was offered bigger and better films from industry stalwarts like Sooraj Barjatya, Subhash Ghai, Karan Johar, Yash Chopra, Priyadarshan and Abbas Mustan. While films like Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon and Yaadein failed, the turning point in Kareena’s career was Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met.

Since then, the gorgeous actress has set the box office on fire with 100 crore hits like 3 Idiots, Golmaal 3, Bodyguard and Ra.One. Bebo has also been pretty lucky when it comes to songs in her films. Tracks like ‘Tum Se Hi’ from Jab We Met and ‘Teri Meri’ from Bodyguard are two of the biggest hits of her career. Kareena also made her presence felt in item numbers in movies like Don and Dabangg 2. She flaunted her size zero figure, which eventually went on to be quite a rage with the youth, in the song ‘Chaliya’ from Tashan.

Below are 10 of Kareena Kapoor’s Best Songs.

1)Tum Se Hi: One of the most romantic songs of our times, the magical Tum Se Hi from Jab We Met is without doubt the best song of Kareena Kapoor’s career. In the movie, the song came at a time when Aditya, inspired by Geet’s attitude towards life, achieves success. Tum Se Hi was sung by Mohit Chauhan, with music composed by Pritam Chakraborty.

2)Chammak Challo: Was a revelation in its own way as it was sung by international sensation Akon. The song was out 6 months before the film’s release and was one of the biggest chartbusters of the year. Chammak Challo was co-composed by Akon himself and was recorded at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. Akon was assisted by Hamsika Iyer for female vocals.

3)Teri Meri: Beautifully picturized on Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor, ‘Teri Meri’ is one such melody composed by Himesh Reshammiya which boasts of an ever-lasting shelf life. The song has mesmerizing vocals by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shreya Ghoshal.

4)Falak Tak: Kareena’s size-zero figure was a bigger hit than the film itself, which also had one melodious song picturised on Kareena and Akshay Kumar – ‘Falak Tak Chal Saat Mere’ sung by Udit Narayan and Mahalaxmi. It was on the sets of Tashan that Kareena fell in love with Saif, who she eventually married in 2012.

5)Zoobi Doobi: This simple yet melodious song is sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. We loved the way it was picturised too, delightfully retro and bouncy, with a saree-clad Kareena looking stunningly beautiful. 3 Idiots was a landmark film for Bollywood and also the biggest hit of Kareena’s career.

6)You Are My Sonia: This song became a disco regular after K3G’s release. It showcased the brilliant chemistry between Hrithik and Kareena. Sung by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik, the song was composed by Sandesh Shandilya.

9)Fevicol: Kareena appeared in one item song of Dabangg 2 and rocked it big time. Along with Salman, the actress dazzled the audience with her infectious energy. Mamta Sharma’s voice perfectly complements Farah Khan’s choreography. Now in her ‘chubby’ look, Kareena danced her way straight into the hearts of the masses with her uninhibited pelvic thrusts.

10)Ye Mera Dil: Kareena did a cameo in the remake of ‘Don’ and performed the remade version of Helen’s classic ‘Yeh Mera Dil’. Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, the song has Kareena trying her best to woo Shahrukh Khan.
