This particular comparison is between three films appealing to different sections of the audience. Baaghi was an action film targeted at the masses, Dishoom was more universal in its appeal and Befikre was for the youth.
In terms of production cost and credentials of the director, Befikre is by far the biggest film of the three. Yet, the Aditya Chopra film has recorded the lowest first weekend total – 8% lower than Dishoom and 12% lower than Baaghi.
The gap widens further when the Sunday collections of the three films are compared. Dishoom managed to bring in the family audience to theatres and collected 15% more than Befikre. Baaghi was a massive hit with the masses and hence collected 25% more than Befikre on Sunday.
The level of business over the next few days will decide whether Befikre can cross the 70 crore mark at the domestic box office – a figure that it needs to become an average grosser. The trend isn’t great, but today is a holiday for Eid Milad and ticket prices continue to remain at weekend levels.

This monkeyveer is nothing but a stardomless flop actor who hides behind the shell of Bhansali papa, deepika,PC and YRF banner. Without them he is supper flop actor. I cant even remember his one hit without them. Just like bhojpuri salman is nothing without kabir papa, suraj chacha and masala genre, this monkeyveer is nothing without historic drama genre, bhansali papa, deepike and yrf. To be fair, you should calculate the average per screen, for of the three movies, Befikre was shown on only 2100 screens as opposed to the others which occupied 2800 and 3000 respectively. Befikre is the modern trend in movies and the young people will see it whatever the critics or the older fans think. Sex is still a taboo for many, and one wonders how the Kama Sutra originated in India.
Super flop… without Bhansali Ranveer is nothing
