After setting the cash registers ringing, Anurag Basu’s Barfi is likely to be remade in Tamil and a top notch southern star has reportedly shown interest in the project.
“It is too early to talk about the remake of Barfi. Although one of the leading heroes has expressed his interest to do the film and a good director has also agreed to make the film. If confirmed, it will go on floors in Feb-Mar 2013″ says Dhananjayan of Disney UTV.
Made on a budget of Rs 30 crores, Barfi is close to crossing the 100 crore mark in India. The film featured Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz.
The film is also India’s official entry for the Oscars.

@Meghani,Ranbir will not get anything for Barfi. Forget Oscars,he will not even get national award for Barfi. But I have no problem for Barfi getting 100 crores. Because even films like Raone,Ready & Dabanng get 120 crores
