Bajrangi Bhaijaan is enjoying a dream run at the domestic box office. The film is running on a record number of shows at multiplexes, and even after 5 hugely successful record-breaking days, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was running at close to 50-60% occupancy on its 6th day.
As per early estimates, the film has collected around 18-19 crore on Wednesday. The average drop at centres that we have tracked is around 10-15% from Tuesday.
An exhibitor from Mumbai circuit has informed us that families are coming out in big numbers to watch ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, a sign that the film is set to enjoy a long run at the box office.
The Kabir Khan directed film has already collected Rs 170 crore in 6 days and should end Week 1 with net box office collections of around 185-186 crore. There are also reports that Bajrangi Bhaijaan will retain most of its screens in its second week at the box office, which should ensure a huge total in its second weekend.
It’ll be interesting to see if the film can beat the collections of PK in its second weekend, because if it does that, then ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has every chance to go on to be the biggest grosser of all time and also affect the collections of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam’ in Week 3. The audience tends to prefer a movie that is receiving appreciation, over new releases.
A 19 crore holiday opening day would be considered outstanding for almost all actors in the industry, outside the Top 4, and Salman’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is putting up those kind of record-breaking numbers on its 6th day which also happens to be a non-holiday!

My goodness, 19 cr on Wednesday I.e a normal working day..impressive.
Even after the massive weekend, no part of me believed it would collect more than 19 rs in its 6 day. But it just makes me happy..the movie was fun, entertaining one and I genuinely want for Bajrangi Bhaijaan to be the highest grosser of the year.
