With net box office collections of around Rs 185 crore, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has done well in its first week. As per early estimates, most centres that we have tracked so far have dropped by around 10-20% from Wednesday, which should give the film a total of around 15-16 crore on Thursday.
The first week business is the second highest of all time (after Dhoom 3 - all versions included) and highest of all time for the Hindi version.
The film is carrying extraordinary reports and the occupancy throughout the first week was very high. This has ensured that the film will retain most of its screens in Week 2.
Even though the Hindi version of ‘Baahubali’ is on a record-breaking run, the number of shows that ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has been allotted is comparable to last year’s ‘PK’.
The Rajkumar Hirani film collected Rs 54.03 crore and Dhoom 3 collected Rs 38.85 crore in their respective second weekends at the box office. It’ll be interesting to see where ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ stands by the end of its second weekend. Since the film is carrying excellent word-of-mouth, the percentage of growth on Saturday could be huge, which could take ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ to record-breaking numbers on Sunday.
Saturday also happens to be the 1st anniversary of Salman’s previous Eid release ‘KICK’ and it’s on this day that ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is expected to cross the 200 crore mark at the box office.

Its the only movie od Salman I watched in cinema.Story and direction was very good but again salman hasnt learn to act yet .He was very average in emotional scenes and his style of comedy was the same as of past.Film was good but not salman acting.Super direction,innocence of little girl and emotional story was the huge plus for salman khan whose stardom added to make it huge success.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan also failed to beat its first week total but it can easily surpass d3 lifetime as 2nd weekend of BB will be better than d3 because of outstanding wom. Let’s see will bb 2nd weekend come close to pk or not.

Watched BB yesterday on a single screen theatre evening show. I was pleasently surprised to see the huge crowd on 6th day.. almost 50% of the theater was full. Last time I saw such crowd was when Ghajini released.
I found the first half of movie little slow, makers could have easily edited few scenes. But mind blowing second half made for it. Last scene where BB meets munni bought tears in my eyes…awesome. Easily best film of Salman Khan i have seen in years.
first of all bb has done extraordinary business.. n considering the fact it has done so with literally no holidays n against record breaking numbers of bahubali in india n overseas says it all.. truly extraordinary n mind blowing.. take a bow salman khan!
