Bajrangi Bhaijaan has shown fantastic growth in business on Day 2 at the domestic box office. The Ramadan period is over and Muslim audience are back in theatres to watch Salman Khan’s latest release.
As per early estimates, the film has collected around 35-36 crore. At some centres, the film has grown by around 45-50% and at other places, where the Ramadan effect is not huge, the growth was lesser.
The film is heading for a weekend total of 95 crore+ and could touch the 100 crore mark if the ‘super strong’ word-of-mouth, translates into further growth in business on Sunday.

The most staggering part about the Day 2 collections is that Bajrangi Bhaijaan has managed to beat the second highest Day 2 collections of films released in 2015, by a mind-boggling margin of more than Rs 20 crore – i.e more than doubled the previous best!

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is heading for one the biggest days in history on Saturday. The collections should come in at around the 35 crore vincity.The film will fall short of the Sunday of PK but has an outside chance to challenge the first day of Happy New Year.
It is pretty certain that it will be amongst the top three beating first day numbers of films like Dhoom 3, Singham Returns, Ek Tha Tiger and Chennai Express. The growth on Saturday will be around 30-35% which will take the two day business to 61-62 crore nett
Mumbai will show the most growth as it goes towards 11 crore nett plus. East Punjab has gone crazy and is likley to set a new all time record around the 4 crore nett mark. Sunday is another big holiday and if further growth come it could challenge the biggest single day in history

Happy New Year’s day 1 figure of 44.97(42.24 cr hindi) cr was manipulated. The actual was around 36.37 cr(hindi) on day 1. Plus, It was released on diwali, which is easily the best collecting day of the year. Remember krissh 3 had netted 31 crores(36 cr according to the manipulative Roshans) on its 4th day. The highest single day collections belong to PK which had collected 37.75 crores on day 3. So a 35-36 cr figure on second day isn’t that bad. Might as well end up beating first day figures of HNY as well.
