Salman Khan’s Eid 2015 release has received a overwhelmingly positive response at the Busan International Film Festival, which was held earlier this week.
The film was screened at the open air theatre, with a capacity of holding 5000 people. The tickets for the screening was sold out in a matter of hours.

The director also posted a few pictures and called it the ‘biggest audience ever’ “The biggest audience ever.. #BajrangiBhaijaanInBusan 5000 people… Standing ovation… Amazing energy here.”
Released in theatres during Eid this year, Bajrangi Bhaijaan went on to collect more than Rs 600 crore worldwide. The film collected Rs 321 crore in India.

Releasing a Bollywood movie in China is not easy.
China only allows 30 Foreign language films to release every year, out of which 25 are reserved for Hollywood. Rest 5 are constituted with Indian and Japanese movies.
Also, the window for release in China is very limited. I am still not sure if BB would release in China.
What worked for Aamir’s PK was his goodwill in China due to 3 Idiots and D3(Yes D3 even, average user rating of D3 on Chinese website Douban was 8.4). This allowed huge screen count for PK. WOM+Aamir’s popularity helped PK earn 130 crores in China. Check QUORA if you wish to know Aamir’s popularity in China. They are mad for him!
Salman is almost non-existent in China. Even if BB released there, I’m not sure if it will earn a lot. SRK too tried his luck in China but only collected 1.68 crs. due to zero popularity in the country.
Salman fans, just bcoz PK earned huge in China doesn’t mean every superstar’s release in China would earn the same.
I still hope it earns a lot when it releases, but we should be practical.

Srk ruled 2000-2009 & ruled overseas but could not give an atbb domestic in that period nor 1000cr overseas in his entire career.
@JC You do know that BB broke every record SRK had in foreign countries. It took only 1 film for Salman Khan too break Insecure Khan(SRK). While SRK had many films but could never reach that lvl.

Excellent. I am overjoyed at the success of BB because the humanity aspect of the film ? is what is drawing people to the film. Mankind is tired of violence and wars revenge and hatred their hearts ? are crying out for love, something to give them the desire and hope that love, forgiveness, still exists. Those that love ? their families want to learn more on love ? and how to care for each other. I think bb was the best movie of 2015 along with piku. They both will win all the awards this year. If prdp do business of more than 250 cr on the box office then salman will be way ahead of his contemporaries especially on domestic box office. I am waiting for both prdp and dilwale this year.
