Bajrangi Bhaijaan likely to release in Pakistan

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is the most awaited film of the year in Pakistan. Unlike Kabir Khan’s last film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, which was banned in the neighbouring country, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is likely to release due to its positive message, says a Pakistani film distributor.

Zain Wali, representative of a film distribution company Everready Pictures, said that he is extremely positive about the film’s release in the country.

“The film is set to release on Eid and this is 102 percent confirmed. There are no objections in the film and we are confident that it will make it to the cinemas with ‘Bin Roye’ and other films,” Wali said.

The film, that also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is schedule to hit screens during the Eid weekend, which is huge in Pakistan too.

In the past, Indian films like ‘Agent Vinod’, ‘Baby’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ were banned in the country due to anti-Islamic content.

“The reason censor board raised objections over ‘Baby’ was because the film painted a controversial picture of Muslims. ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is not against Pakistan and the trailer alone can give a clean-cut depiction of the message it is giving out,” Wali said.

“Most importantly, we have faith that the film will see the light of the day in cinemas. The last stage regarding the release of any film, be it local or international, is the approval from censor board. We are positive that the film will not face any challenges in this regard because we haven’t heard anything dubious about it,” he added.

Indian films is one of the biggest sources of revenue for exhibitors in Pakistan. ‘PK’ is the highest grossing film in the country.

  • @stark what a joke. Srk is nowhere in the picture once you remove legend director yashji, karan, and rohit and established actresses like kajol, deepika, Katrina, priyanka, rani who have their own fan following and this stuttering actor exists only because of them. Other wise he would have been sitting with kushal random and gauhar khan in bigg boss house. ???.

On the other hand aamir and Salman have always ruled box office since their debut and are still ruling. No one knows sarookh in china. But aamir alone rules there. Aamir is millions times bigger than small actor sarookh in popularity and fan following. So shut up.

  • Jo karna hai karlo Sher jungle mein nahin hai, Next year sher is coming to jungle with Dangal. Sabki bajegi band, aamir king will back next year. Till then you guys Do whatever you want to do man.

  • Good to see our neighbouring country cooperating. They shd ban movies but only if they have a valid reason to object..baby m agent vinod were ok but ett was a light hearted entertainer..n pakistan wasnt shown in bad light so i see no reason y it was banned.

  • It is very easy for superstars to make 100cr overseas nowadays, but salman couldn’t give one still. I don’t think BB will make that. It has to do around 16 million.

  • @legend aamir khan
both Salman and aamir khan stars of both masses and classes
