Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan has collected Rs 27-28 crore on Day 1, as per early estimates based on collections from a few centres.
The Day 1 business is around the same level as Salman’s last release ‘Kick’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’. Even though all three films released on a non-holiday, ‘Kick’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ released during Ramzan (majority muslims don’t watch movies before Eid).
Saturday is a national holiday for Eid-ul-fitr, which should give a massive boost to the business of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The reports, both from the audience and the critics, is excellent, which should help the film grow on word-of-mouth publicity.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan would find it difficult to get anywhere close to 200 Cr. Weekend will definitely be 100 Cr or pretty close but from Monday it will be all downhill. Can’t imagine a film like this getting more than 35 Cr after Week 1. My prediction:

This is a typical opposite of most Salman movies. He blends everything here be it comedy action and intensity.
Shaaida is so sweeeeet!! Siddique is d modern day nana pathekar wen bad he is really bad and wen jovial he is a gem to applaud for. Kareena asual sweet,did justice to her character but same old story limited screen time with anoda house hold actor just like her previous high grossing movies with dominant actors.
