Bajrangi Bhaijaan has created history at the box office on Day 9 as the film has recorded its sixth 20 crore plus total at the domestic box office.
The 9th day collections of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is more than the opening day business of all films released in 2015, which includes films like ABCD 2, Gabbar Is Back, Dil Dhadakne Do and Roy.
A lot of films do show big growth at multiplexes, but for a film to jump from Rs 13.15 crore, which is already a very high level for 2nd Friday, to Rs 20.05 crore, it’s earth-shattering to say the least.
The 2nd Saturday collections of the film is higher than PK (Rs 17.12 cr) and 8 crore higher than Dhoom 3 (Rs 12.04 crore)! Two things are certain now, Bajrangi Bhaijaan will beat Dhoom 3 to become the 2nd highest grosser of all time and it will also become the 2nd film to join the 300 crore club.
After Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994), Salman Khan has never delivered the highest grosser of all time and the 2nd Saturday collections gives the film a chance of surpassing the lifetime business of PK. However, the last time Salman and Kabir Khan teamed up, they fell 3 crore short of 3 Idiots, which was the industry’s highest grosser back then.

I want to see the look on haters face when they found out that the “bhojpuri mindless masala film” is the most classiest film ever released.
I watched this movie yesterday and I cried 3 times during, although it was like small tears. This is the best movie of bollywood yet as it brings peace between two countries and nations while pk just made hatred between religions and caused controversy and 3 idiots just didn’t do anything
in 2012 eid ek tha tiger fell 3cr short of3 idiots.if it released in 2013 eid,it would collect minimum 215cr.it is better to deliver two blockbuster than one highest grosser for few months or five back to back than twice highest grosser in five years. Only those highest grossers which stands for 4-5years are remarkable like salman’s hakhk(7years),maine pyar kiya(5years),3idiots(4years).

I think srk is counting his days in Bollywood.even he knows he needs aditya or karan films at this point in order to beat salman,aamir bcz he was most loved in those directors films only.

@rudz why would Aamir fan feel that pk is 10% of BB, at the end of the day BB is still chasing pk collection. And pk was a controversial risky film while BB is a feel good motivational movie.
PK success is huge that after coming back highly loved 3i, pk is not even 30% of 3i but still deliver so big is shown that audience loved that film, on other hand Salman and kabir surprised audiences with BB as their last film ETT got mixed response so a good movie always create better aspect for collection.
