S.S. Rajamouli’s Bahubali 2 will become the highest grossing Indian Film in North America (USA / Canada) in just 6 days – as the film is on a record-breaking, historic run.
The highest grossing Indian film of all time is Dangal, which collected $12.37 million. Bahubali 2 has already collected nearly $11 million and should cross the lifetime business of Dangal on Wednesday as the collections on Tuesday are phenomenal.

In comparison, the numbers of Dangal – which looked extraordinary not too long ago – look very weak now in the post-Bahubali2 era. Dangal collected $325,382 on Wednesday, $504,120 on Thursday, $883,217 on Friday, $1,011,403 on Saturday and $1,343,728 on Sunday. This was during the Christmas weekend which is a extended holiday in the US.
Inspite of that, the preview (Thursday) and Friday collections of Bahubali 2 is 10% more than the entire 5-day weekend of Dangal. The 3-day weekend is nearly 3 times more than the 5-day weekend of Dangal.
Bahubali 2 could now be looking at $25 million as its lifetime business in North America, which will be double the previous best. In fact, only the North America collections of Bahubali 2 will beat the overseas collections (all countries except India) of all Hindi films except 6 (PK, Dangal, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dhoom 3, 3 Idiots and Dilwale).
Probably no other film might surpass Bahubali for the next 4-5 years in overseas. The only ones that have a chance of getting close to it(both domestic and overseas) are Tubelight, TZH, 2.0, Thugs of Hindostan. 2.0 might turn out to be the biggest among them.
